Hello, this is oasisrising, and I think this is
day, um 8
of project elves
I took a few days off
cause I was traveling
and it's not something, you can't travel
you can't paint in the car
um, so
I also ordered
a few new brushes
because my current brush right here
it's nice and sharp right now, but
as soon as I get painting
it starts to
split, as you can see
into many different bristles
so, time for a new brush
unfortunatly
I couldn't remember
what exactly size my brush was
so, I knew it was a
winsor and newton
series 7
so I ordered both the 0 and 1 size, so we'll see how that
comes out. One should be arriving on
Tuesday
the other should be arriving on Friday
and I also don't when my new
tripod will be arriving
so I can't film yet
my painting
you wonder why I don't use the citadel brushes
I did buy
the detail brush
and teh base coat brush
and the base coat brush is pretty good for large surface areas, but
it's got like
one or two tiny little bristles
on the end
that don't
deposite paint
but they do distort where the brush goes
so it's really difficult to get these
teent tiny spots cause you have to
press down to almost..
well, you know what I mean, and
the detail brush
doesn't have any spring at all
it bends right
at the ferrule
and you can even, like, squash it in different directions, you're probably cringing at me doing that, but
to see the difference between the
fancy brush and the
citadel brush, I son't know if you can see the difference
the newton and winsor brush is much more springy
but, it has lasted me a long time
I don't think, I think I bought this brush two years ago
though I haven't been doing
a whole ton of painting
but enough that it uh...
makes a difference
but you can see on the banner there
where I've made some
mess-ups
especially on that back side there
but, hopefully
when I get the new brushes
things will be able to speed up a but
anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble
and thanks for watching
