Now I'm going to start working a little bit more on our vase in the background which is
a woven pattern of greens and browns. But if I really look at those greens and browns,
the browns in some places are almost red. In some places the browns are almost gray.
So let's see if we can get some of those colors that I'm seeing. The very, if you look at
the very front of that top rim of that vase, and I'm noticing that I can see this inside
of the vase slightly which is wrong in my drawing, but this front edge is very much
almost a pure red. And then it fades to more subtle grays and browns. So I'm going to start
by adding that red, there's a brighter area on one side and because we are working light
and dark, let's add a little bit of that and help establish that shadow that I see on this
far edge with a darker brown over here. And this brown extends this way. And let's go
ahead and correct the drawing with an area that does appear to have a little bit of blackness
to it. This is only the second place that we've used black in this whole drawing. And
it's being used just to establish the inside of that pot. What's visible from where I sit.
