Liberians are back at the polls Tuesday for a presidential run-off election.
And amid some outbreaks of violence in the run-up to elections,
the United Nations is emphasizing that anyone, who wishes to vote
must be able to do so freely and in safety.
International observers are monitoring the election process,
and UN staff, police and military are all present to protect Liberians.
Ellen Margrethe Loj is the Coordinator
of United Nations operations in Liberia.
"All Liberians, who wish to exercise their right to vote,
should be able to do so in peace and without intimidation.
I appeal to all Liberians to say no to violence on Election Day.
Liberia is all you have - help build it
democratically, do not destroy it violently." 14
