In this clip, we're going to cut out the arms. As I mentioned earlier, I could take the remainder
of the scraps from cutting out the unitard, stitch these together and make the sleeves.
That takes some extra work and a little extra time as well. I have lots of material, so
I'm going to fold it over at about eighteen inches. I also know that my arm from the shoulder
to the wrist is twenty-one inches long, so let's get a rough twenty-one. There's twenty-one
right there, and don't use that extra bit because that's not the right color. So I'm
going to make it slightly longer and cut it at the actual length of twenty-one. Now the
top of my arm is the same as the bottom of my arm so I can fold it in half. And I also
know that my wrist is eight inches around so half of eight is four. There's my wrist.
I'm going to make it a little bit bigger because my hands are quite large and it's hard to
get through that wrist hole. And of course, everything gets bigger from there, the forearm.
I'm going to add a little extra on this side, and that's the bit under the arm so I can
lift it over my head. Of course, as it meets my shoulder it's in a nice curved round shape.
And that's the sleeve. Let's open it up so we can see exactly what it looks like. That's
a sleeve.
