Apple won a resounding victory against Samsung in U.S. courts last week when the jury awarded

restrictions.
A South Korean court ruled that Samsung Electronics Co's flagship Galaxy smartphone looks very
similar to Apple's iPhone, but the South Korean firm did not violate the iPhone design. A
judge at the Seoul Central District Court said that there were lots of external design
similarities between the iPhone and Galaxy S, such as rounded corners and large screens,
but these similarities had been documented in previous products. He also said that Samsung’s
product had three buttons on the front and different designs for the camera and side
so the products had a different look. The judge ordered Samsung to immediately stop
selling 10 products including the Galaxy SII and banned 4 Apple products including the
iPhone 4 and iPad 2. Apple was ordered to pay Samsung 40 million won while Samsung was
ordered to pay Apple 25 million won.
