hi my name's Lisa Kunst and I'm the project manager for the study
in this video we're gonna talk about the section between McDonnell Boulevard and
Hanley/Graham. the reason we are
doing these improvements is because of three main issues with the section.
First of all, I-270 drops from four to three lanes at the Lindbergh interchange.
Second reason is that
there's the existing cloverleaf interchange at Lindbergh and a third
reason
as that westbound 270 motorists that wanna go north
to Lindbergh must go through a second interchange at Lynnhaven Taylor
let's talk about the proposed improvements for the section on the
corridor.
first of all on I-270, we'll be adding a lane
east of Lindbergh to make it four lanes in each direction
at the Lindbergh interchange we'll be removing
the westbound to southbound loop ramp, replacing it with a direct connection
to Lindbergh north of the existing interchange
this will require you to no longer go through Lynnhaven
Taylor Road to go north on Lindbergh. Going south on Lindbergh no longer
would be required to go through Lynnhaven either, they will be provided with a
direct connection to westbound270
Dunn Road will be relocated with a direct connection
under Lindbergh and through the corridor. As you move
from Lindbergh to 170 on eastbound 270
we will be adding an auxillary line between the two
ramps there'll be no significant improvement at
the 170 interchange thank you
