And I fell in love with this campus and in love with the place. On my tour, they took
me and the dean of engineering sat me down and talked with me about my life goals and
ambitions for about two hours. My calculus teacher, she had many contacts at Tech and
she said it's a really great school to attend, you should visit and especially for engineering,
it's a great school and it's smaller in size so you can actually interact with the professors.
You'll make great friends that you get to go through the whole thing with and you'll
learn a lot. Not just the education, but you'll learn how to be a better person as well. I've
always been really math and science and physics-oriented and coming here was an opportunity to really
get my hands dirty, to really dive into this major. Women think that engineering is not
what women need to go into because of the scarcity of women in engineering, but being
a woman really is powerful at Tech because you get to be involved in a lot of things,
professors are always encouraging you. One day you truly can change the world. I fully
believe you can.
