Master Oman asked a group of disciples:
"I'm not asking you what happened few days ago,
but tell me what will happen in the days ahead."
But before anyone could answer, he said:
"Every day is a good day."
What does that mean?
When I'm sick, or when I go to work very tired,
when I had a quarrel, or when I'm annoyed,
or I have financial problems, or just feel down.
How can then every day be a good day?
If there is ego and egotism, there is good or bad.
Mostly bad.
We are the weather-makers of our world, but mostly
we are rain-makers.
If there is no ego and egotism...
the world around us begins to change.
We start noticing.
We become awake.
We discover the world around us.
We discover ourselves. We discover who we are.
Every day is a good day.
No yesterday, no tomorrow.
Only today. Only this moment. Now.
Every day... is a good day.
We discover the secret of the moment.
How is this achieved?
How do I find a way to "every day is a good day"?
How do I find a way to myself?
Stop... let go...
Sit only.
Relax.
Just listen.
Listen to the sounds around you without naming them.
Just listen.
Rustling in the reeds.
The birds.
The water.
Just listen.
Let go.
