What the hell are we supposed to do now?
I mean, we might as well just roll it up.
Wow.
We're already out the money.
I mean...
So you're voting right now to go home?
I'm voting kind of to go home, everything's kind
of falling through.
It's crumbling.
Whoa!
Nothing's crumbling...
It's crumbling.
Each day we stay here is going to cost us more and more money.
I know that.
And if we don't score.
It's like three more days of money spent for nothing.
Frank, I get it.
The situation that we're in, I put is there.
Mm, yeah.
Oh god.
It's not working out.
I can't take strike three.
Then we're going to fail.
We've already failed.
We're here in Italy.
Frank is pissed at me and we're losing money.
This whole crazy adventure started a week ago,
with a simple phone call from an old friend.
Hello?
Hey Mike.
Yeah?
Fred Simeone, from the Simeone Museum in Philadelphia.
Hey, what's up, doc?
Dr. Fred Simeone has been a client of mine
for over 20 years.
He has one of the most amazing private auto collections
in the world.
Usually I'm calling the doctor trying to sell him something.
Now he's calling me.
So I'm thinking to myself, this is going to be big
and it's going to be expensive.
Here's the deal, there's an absolutely perfect car for my
museum, a Cisitalia Nouvolari Spyder.
This is a heavy hitter car.
The 1947 Nouvolari Spyder is an incredibly rare car.
There were less than 30 of them made.
I've been trying to get this car for about 5 or 6 years.
He's tried over the phone, he's tried email.
Now you're thinking it's time for like a face to face?
Right.
The car is in Bologna, Italy.
You could go over there and close the deal for me.
I've only been to Italy once and that was 13 years ago.
I've picked Italy in 2001.
So you know how to get around.
And if you do do the deal there's
a very handsome reward...
like how about ten percent?
Okay, ten percent of what?
Uh, six hundred thousand dollars.
So ten percent of 600 grand is 60 grand?
Right.
There.
Yeah, put it behind this thing here.
Baggage!
What?
I had to pay extra to get my other bag.
I know that's not true, cause you'd never pay for priority.
Woo!
Made it.
See you man.
Thanks.
Later!
We got to catch the bus!
I forgot to tell you, we have a bus to...Oh crap!
Where you at?
I'm in Rome right now.
All I can recognize is the, is the symbol that says toilet.
This is it, this is where the journey begins, dude.
All right, dude.
There is it, baby!
I'm trying to wrap my head around this thing.
One phone call- boom!
Me and Franky are on the other side of the world.
But 60K is 60K.
All right, all right, Franky.
I'll get the bags.
Grab the bags and I'll run in here and do the paperwork.
All right.
I hate flying, I've never even been out of the country,
I don't speak the language here.
Thank you.
I am way out of my comfort zone.
Jump in, my brother!
Even though we're not here very long,
Dani has arranged to rent us a van.
Because you never know what you're going to find on the back
roads of Italy.
They could have other stuff, they could have
motorcycles, scooters.
All right, now I'm getting excited.
Our contact Frank Anselone has a Cisitalia car 400 kilometers
north of Rome in the town of Bologna.
If we can get this car...
I thought this was a done deal.
Right?
Yeah.
Well there's no negotiating really then, it's just like...
Well you got to negotiate the price.
Yeah, well that's fine.
The fact is this isn't a done deal.
I told Franky it was, because I need him here with me.
The guy is the bearded charmer.
And when it comes to negotiating,
he's always the bad cop.
I am saving up all my fired up til we get there.
With me, Frank Fritz, and Dr. Simeone's bank roll,
we're going to nail this.
I talked to Frank on the phone.
His dad is the one that owns the Cisitalia.
And he also runs a World War II museum on the property.
Gotcha.
After we go through the museum, I'm sure that's when he'll show
us the car.
All right, this is it.
This looks cool, man.
Oh, check out that train car.
That's cool.
So they have a lot of different stuff there.
This looks like the museum.
There you go.
All right, dude.
This is it man.
All right.
Let's do this.
Hit it.
Yeah.
Look at that tank, Franky.
These are big boy toys.
Hello?
Frank?
Hey hey.
Hey.
How are you?
We're doing good.
Hey, good to see you, I'm Mike.
We walked on the phone.
I'm Frank.
This is Frank.
Frank Frank.
Nice to meet you.
This is impressive.
Very cool.
So is that a Sherman tank?
Yes, it's a real Sherman tank of World War II.
Running condition.
Running?
Yeah.
Really?
Really.
You've driven it?
Yes of course.
My father started the collection in 1946.
Here you have American vehicles.
There's the JPS amphibious Jeep.
This is all stuff we've seen like in books, never in person.
Frank's father's collection and the caliber of what he has on
display is amazing.
Let's go to see the museum inside,
from the beginning of the tour.
Okay.
I'd love to.
Do I want to see the car as soon as I jump out of the van?
Yes.
But it's all about building relationships.
Now I'm a true collector, I'm very passionate myself.
Wow.
So I can understand when he's like,
I want to show you our collection.
This is a reproduction of this area around Bologna.
My father wanted to reproduce feeling of those people
during those days.
In America we meet a lot older guys that are trying to recreate
their youth by building old service stations and garages.
In Italy, guys like Frank's dad great up during the war,
so the youth that he's trying to recreate is much darker
than a service station.
All the stuff that is here, it's authentic, it's not replica.
Wow.
Then the lights dim and then the bombs start coming.
The floor was shaking.
It's actually like you're walking back into
that time period.
I think it's really cool that he has taken the time and the
passion to put this together.
The museum was fantastic, liked to learn about
things I never see.
But the reality is, we need to go look at this car.
This is it right here.
I'm starting to break into a sweat here.
I know why they are here, they have come here to see
the Cisitalia.
And now...we see the car for the first time.
This is it.
Here is the Cisitalia.
Yeah.
I've seen photographs of the car,
I've talked to Fred Simeone about the car,
I'm imagining this moment.
Ah-ha.
Mike I'm going crazy over here.
There it is, Franky.
This one?
Woo!
Wow.
Look at the back end of this thing.
Look at the lines on that.
Wow.
Wow, check it out.
Ooh, it's incredible.
So amazing.
Wow.
This is the Cisitalia, the famous car that
