Wake up!
It's breakfast time.

>> Hello, there.
My name is Brynn Cahalan , and I'm a third year student at University
of California-Irvine, home of the Anteaters.
Luckily for you, we won't be eating any ants this morning.
In fact, I thought we would just skip breakfast altogether.
No skipping breakfast!
But I don't have any time!
Skipping breakfast makes you fat!
Actually, that's true.
When you skip breakfast, you're telling your body, hey, slow down my metabolism.
I can Brendatize all on my own.
Huff! Not happening.
So how about we make some fast and healthy breakfast recipes.
We're college students, and we're lazy, so why not?
Waffle Witch?
Chai Tea Latte?
Waffles are healthy.
Ah, when you eat waffles the right way, they can be relatively healthy.
Whole grain waffles are where it's at with lots of fiber and lots of nutrients,
unlike regular waffles and multigrain waffles.
And ditch the sugary syrup and butter, too.
Why not some almond butter?
If you're allergic to peanut butter, almond butter is going to rock your world.
Almond butter is higher in protein, is higher in monounsaturated fats, which is the good fat,
richer in micronutrients and lower in saturated fat.
Just make sure your almond butter is unsalted.
Then add some fresh seasonal fruit, like bananas, strawberries, and blueberries.
In the mood for something savory?
No problemo!
You can still get your protein in the morning from reduced sodium turkey and cheddar cheese.
And as they say, an apple a day makes you one smart college student.
In fact, apples are known for boosting the production
of a neurotransmitter that improves your memory.
Besides adding fiber to this meal, these apples add a nice crisp taste to the Waffle Witch.
And, for those of you who want to add a sauce,
mustard helps with digestion and improves your metabolism.
Now, let's get to the real issue here.
What's all this hype about Chai tea?
Chai tea is perfect for breakfast, because it has a tiny amount of caffeine,
way less than coffee, and has a special blend of Indian spices so they're known for common .
What makes this Chai tea latte particularly healthy7 is the unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
Almond milk has the same vitamin calcium content as regular milk,
except it has lower saturated fat, fewer calories, and absolutely no gluten or lactose
in it, which is perfect for lactose intolerance.
Pour about one cup of the almond milk into a microwave-safe mug and stir it
with half a teaspoon of vanilla extract and one teaspoon of cinnamon.
Microwave for two minutes, and place the Chai tea bag in the mug.
I have to go to class now, but--
>> Warning, this breakfast is highly nutritious.
>> Yes, yes, it is.
