What a beautiful morning!
Let's make some coffee, shall we?
Good morning!
Good morning
What are we having for breakfast?
Want to have pancakes?
Sure! That's a great idea.
I'm going to make my delicious pancakes.
Let's get started!
First, we'll combine two-thirds cup of milk with the juice from half a lemon.
We don't have buttermilk here in Japan so this is an easy substitute.
Of course, if you have it, simply use buttermilk.
Next, we are going to melt one tablespoon of butter in the microwave.
It takes around fifteen seconds in my microwave.
Now, it's time for the dry ingredients.
Put the fine-mesh sieve over a bowl like this.
That'll be one cup of flour,
two tablespoons sugar,
quarter teaspoon salt,
one and a half teaspoon baking powder,
and a half teaspoon baking soda.
Sift into the bowl like this.
Add in one egg.
Now, add in the milk and melted butter and mix until combined.
Heat the frying pan over medium heat.
Then add a pad of butter.
Wiping the pan with a paper towel will help in giving the pancakes even color.
Reduce the heat to low.
Pour in one ladleful of batter.
My batter is quite thick but believe me, it is amazing.
Bubbles will start to form on the surface.
However, be patient
because with my recipe, bubbles will start to form quickly.
Once the edges look dry,
it's almost time.
Time to flip it over.
If you are worried,
you can check it before flipping.
The pancake will start to rise.
Cook for another two to three minutes.
Once it's done, transfer to a plate.
Serve with a pad of butter and real maple syrup.
Ohhhh yes
This is going to be sooooo good!
So here you go, your pancake is ready.
Oh my god.
That looks amazing!
Can I eat it?
Yes please!
Enjoy!
Itadakimasu!
Mmmm
Mmm Satoshi: How is it?
Mmmm
Do you like it?
It's so fluffy. Satoshi: Really?
Oh yeah, it's so fluffy and the flavor is perfect.
We've made special pancake like Kit Kat pancake
or rice cooker pancake
or Japanese fluffy pancake.
But it's been a while since we just had the normal pancakes, right?
And these are buttermilk pancakes, right?
Satoshi: Yes.
Mmm
Mmm
Amazing.
