Bobby: Now I've worked with a number of triathletes of a very high levels
since about 2002 and one of the hardest things for me to do is
to teach both the males but specifically the female
to, to
refuse turns and to play that, to play that game. So, you know? What kind of
mindset does it take when she says, please pull through and you say nope
I'm not gonna do that.
Sara: It's having confidence and knowledge in knowing what you want and
what is the best for you Bobby: Okay. Sara: absolutely people will try and bully you into doing a, doing
a turn or where they want you to be, and that's amazingly
just that verbal
shouting or abuse can
"Okay okay I better work but it's not in your best interest. Bobby: Yeah, Yeah Sara: It's having an absolute
understanding with
where you are in the race and
that knowledge of
I know the best situation for me to be able to win and if that sitting on and
not doing turns, then so be it. If it is going through to work turns because you
need to get away from some of the other
whoever it is, then
you need to be able to have that awareness, to be able to make that happen
for yourself.
