Hello, in this tutorial I show you how to make your own agenda with a simple sew
Material
folder, 30 graph or white sheets, use what you prefer
needle, cotton thread, 4 tweezers, scissors, a piece of cardstock or cork
tack, ruler, pencil, calendar of the year, markers and other materials to decorate
first take one of the sheets you will use, measure it
write the data in a different sheet
add 1 cm to each side
this new measure will be the size which the folder should have extended
divide the longest measurement by 2
that is the width that the folder should have being folded
mark there
use the other measure for the vertical line
cut
extend the figure and check that the total measures are the same that the measures of the sheet
now start the fun, leave the folder aside
and take the 30 sheets, fold in half
join them in a single group
I recommend you to don´t add more sheets, it can be more difficult the sew
when you have the sheets join them with the folder
extend all, check that the folds in the middle are one over the other
press the sheets to have them flat
and hold with the tweezers
now with the ruler make marks outside the fold in the middle every 3 cm
at 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17 and 20 cm
put the cardboard or cork behind
with the tack perforate over the mark
make sure you perforate well all the sheets
put a long strip of thread in the needle
don´t tie a knot at the end
insert in the hole in the middle, in my case the 4 hole
begin from inside to outside
leave a space about 5 cm, don´t make a knot
now sew up
sew normal
insert the needle en each hole
then back down
return to the center
insert the needle and make a simple knot here
insert the needle again through this hole
pull and tense a little
cut the thread to have both strips of the same size
make a knot
and cut the excess
we finished, close the notebook, mark the fold and put something heavy over it
leave for a few hours
now decorate and put the numbers
leave the first sheet free, behind you can write your data
I recommend you to first work with pencil
in the next sheet leave a space to put your schedule
behind a free sheet for notes
now take the calendar and look the day where you want to start the agenda
I´ll start in august
I´ll give half sheet for each day, then here is august
thursday first
in the middle divide with a line
and write the next day, friday second
flip the sheet
I suggest you to the weekends leave both days in a half sheet
continue writting the dates
check that the dates match with the calendar
you could have made a mistake
if it happens, just erase and continue
now mark with pen or marker over the text
and decorate the rest of the agenda, like the cover
you can round the edges
you can also add paper separators to distinguish the months
well you finished, now you can use the agenda when you back to school
or if you prefer you can give another use to the notebook
the end
