[ Siren wailing ]
This is Zak, Nick, and Aaron
from the "Ghost Adventures" crew.
Tonight, we're in Weston, West Virginia,
home to this incredible, abandoned lunatic asylum
right behind me.
The first stones of this massive building
were laid just before the Civil War.
It's a place with a deep and dark history.
There was also a lot of suffering inside.
Mentally ill patients
were restrained in seclusion cells, lobotomized.
Some were even murdered.
But is this place really haunted?
That's what we're about to find out tonight,
here, live, with your help.
This is "Ghost Adventures Live."
-- Captions by VITAC --
My name is Zak Bagans.
I never believed in ghosts until I came face-to-face with one.
Whoa!
So I set out on a quest
to capture what I once saw onto video.
Is there anybody here?
[ Banging ]
Oh, God.
With no big camera crews following us around,
I am joined
only by my fellow investigator, Nick Groff,
and our equipment tech, Aaron Goodwin.
Tonight, the three of us will be attempting something
we've never done before --
conducting our paranormal investigation
on live television,
locked down inside an abandoned insane asylum
for seven straight hours.
This time, we're bringing some other professionals to assist us
in the most cutting-edge ghost-hunting technology
out there.
[Bleep]
Stop running!
This is "Ghost Adventures Live"
from the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum
in Weston, West Virginia.
Closed Captions provided by Scripps Networks, LLC.
Good evening, and welcome.
I'm your host for the night, Dean Haglund,
and we're coming to you live right now
from the small town of Weston, West Virginia.
Over the next seven hours,
the "Ghost Adventures" team will be conducting
the biggest paranormal investigation of their lives.
And they're doing it live.
Anything could happen in there.
And they're going to need your help every step of the way.
At our base inside the outbuilding
behind this massive asylum,
we have an entire interactive team standing by
to relay your thoughts and observations
to Zak, Nick, and Aaron throughout the entire night.
If you log on
to www.ghostadventureslive.com,
you'll see that we've positioned cameras
throughout the entire asylum
so that you can monitor them live from your home.
We want you to tell us what you see
and send in messages
to help steer the guys during their hunt.
We'll have live video chats, interactive evidence review,
and we're even taking a live poll
where you'll be able to vote on what the guys do.
So, don't just watch tonight's show. Participate.
Now, there's a reason we need your help.
The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum
is an enormous complex with a complex past.
Just take a look at this.
In the hills of West Virginia
along the banks of the West Fork of the Monongahela River
lies the small town of Weston, West Virginia.
population 4,000.
Although it's the seat of Lewis County,
the town is more well-known for its largest building,
the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
I'm not sure that the identity of the town
benefited from being known as the location
of an enormous lunatic asylum,
but certainly, that was what
Weston, West Virginia, was known for.
HAGLUND: The first stones of this remarkable building
were laid back in 1851,
and for the next 13 years,
Irish stonemasons constructed the second-largest
hand-cut stonemasonry building in the world --
next to the Kremlin.
The building holds 2 1/2 miles of corridors,
with stone walls up to 2 1/2 feet thick.
When it first opened in 1864,
the asylum was intended to house just 250 patients.
But by the 1950s,
its population had swelled to nearly 2,500.
We didn't really have room for a lot of the patients.
It was like beds, beds, beds, beds, beds.
We were overpopulated, understaffed.
We had insufficient doctors, nurses.
HAGLUND: More and more patients died on the premises,
often with no family coming to claim the bodies.
The asylum grounds boast three graveyards.
In the '70s and '80s, the asylum suffered from underfunding.
And finally, in 1994, it was shut down for good.
The massive building was left abandoned and empty,
but perhaps not entirely.
[ Rattling ]
Many believe that today
its rambling halls and crumbling stairwells
have been reclaimed by those who died there.
Inside these empty halls,
there have been countless reports
of mysterious voices, shadowy figures,
and even physical contact with the unexplained forces.
And that's why the "Ghost Adventures" team
has picked this location for their very first live lockdown.
If anyone can find spirits inside this place,
it's these guys right here.
It's Zak, Nick, and Aaron.
Hey.
Gentlemen, how are you?
Dean, how are you?
Excellent.
You guys excited?
Yeah, man.
Fantastic.
Seeing as it's Devil's Night
and a few hours away from Halloween.
That's right.
Now, what goes through your mind
before you go on one of these ghost hunts, Zak?
When you go to a place like this
and the dark history that this place has...
Yeah.
...I try and, like, if I could, time-travel back
and act like I'm walking through there
when they were doing the ice-pick lobotomies,
when they were putting these people in seclusion cells.
What feelings would I have
looking at this, witnessing this?
That is the mind-frame that I'm in right now.
That is so cool.
Yeah.
Now, Aaron, are you expecting
to get evidence of the paranormal tonight?
Yeah. This place? Yeah. I hope so.
We should.
That is so awesome.
And, Nick, you know about our online poll, right?
I do. I heard there's a poll going around.
I'm extremely excited, pumped up.
That's right.
At ghostadventureslive.com, the fans,
they can vote for exactly what you're gonna do later on.
Are you gonna swear here and now, in front of everybody,
that you will do whatever they vote for you?
All right. I swear to --
ZAK: Right hand, dude.
Is that your left hand? Right hand.
I swear that I'll do whatever it takes, man.
I'm down.
Okay. We heard it here. Awesome.
Rock 'n' roll.
Absolutely.
Be careful in there, gentlemen.
Thanks, man.
Thanks, Dean.
And I love you on "X-Files," man.
Oh, thank you very much. That's very kind of you.
Thanks, man.
Okay, take care.
Now, the team has been preparing for this night for months.
Earlier, they got a guided tour of the abandoned asylum
from Rebecca Jordan, whose family now owns the asylum.
As with all their walkthroughs,
Nick and Zak and Aaron spent some time figuring out
where to place their X cameras to gather evidence,
cameras you'll be able to watch online tonight from home.
[ Creaking ]
ZAK: Now, we are in the Civil War Wing.
Yes.
But to be more specific, this is the old pharmacy.
It's all extremely active,
from that door right there slamming on people,
from shadow figures darting across the hall.
From black masses to orbs, it all happens here.
So these spirits are really crazy for their medication.
Absolutely. [ Laughs ]
Go ahead and mark an "X." We're gonna put our "X" here.
This is where we're gonna have an X camera.
And don't forget -- Online, you're gonna be
watching this camera for us live while we're investigating.
So if you see anything at all happen on this X camera,
you're gonna be able to text-message in,
and we're gonna be alerted through our earpiece.
So you're playing a huge role in this investigation.
We were running a haunted house a few years ago.
Well, evidently, it upset
a few of the spirits that are around,
and they'd actually pulled one of the volunteers
into the room onto the ground.
Inside here?
Inside the room, all the way up to the wall.
Let's put an "X" in here, Aaron, and see if we can maybe
capture the dark figure that was attacking everyone.
Whew!
ZAK: This just has a very creepy feel up here.
JORDAN: Actually, the entire fourth floor has this same feel.
As soon as you walk on it, you feel like all eyes are on you.
Well, this is actually the scene of a very gruesome ***.
Two of the patients
were playing with one of the other patients,
put him down on the ground,
and took one of the metal-framed beds.
They picked it up and put it through his head.
[ Sighs ]
Now, this is where you guys should definitely hang out.
JORDAN: This is ward number 2.
Okay. You brought us into a creepy-looking, old bathroom.
Now, what exactly went on in here?
Don't tell me someone got murdered.
Well, of course they did.
Really?
This was just like an on-site hospital, right?
On-site hospital.
Literally, thousands and thousands of people
would have died in there.
Would they do, like, lobotomies and stuff in here?
A lot of the procedures were actually done in here.
You would have had insulin shock therapy.
That is one visual that I cannot watch.
Now, you do keep this off limits from anybody and everybody.
Yeah, we don't allow historic tours,
no ghost hunts, no ghost tours, nothing.
Because it's dangerous on the inside?
Yeah, it's dangerous on the inside,
and we don't know what's in there, to be honest.
[ Laughs ]
Okay, so, how do we gain access to that?
You got to talk really nice.
Okay.
Can we have access to the Medical Center tonight?
Yes. You can.
Yes.
That's all it takes.
[ Laughs ]
So, let's put an X camera in there.
So, watch that camera for us and let us know what happens.
And you'll be hearing more details
about each of these paranormal hot spots
throughout the evening.
As you can see, the guys have a lot to investigate.
But they'll have help.
At times throughout the evening, we'll be unlocking the doors
to allow other investigators to join in the lockdown.
Paranormal sensitive Chris Fleming
will be using his custom-made spirit box
to communicate with the dead.
EVP specialists Mark and Debby Constantino
will also be here to help the guys make contact.
Also, tonight will mark the broadcast debut
of the unbelievable Parabot --
a massive robotic containment chamber.
Inventor and ghost hunter Robert Bess
claims it will be able to detect and actually trap a spirit
right on live television.
It's all coming up live
as tonight's "Ghost Adventures" quest
to find evidence of the supernatural begins.
Welcome back to Weston, West Virginia,
where the "Ghost Adventures" team -- Zak, Nick, and Aaron --
are about to lock themselves, overnight,
inside the crumbling walls
of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
We're just behind the main building now,
inside the asylum's geriatric center,
just one of the 11 massive outbuildings
here on the grounds.
This is our operational nerve center.
Here, we'll be monitoring the team's every move
throughout the evening,
as well as reviewing any evidence Zak, Nick, or Aaron
are able to get from inside the asylum.
To my left, we have noted historian of the paranormal
Jeff Belanger, who will help us to better understand
this unbelievable facility and its dark past.
And over here,
in our interactive evidence-review center,
this is our portal to you, the outside viewer --
[ Chuckles ] the viewer in the outside world.
And helming this operation
is well-known paranormal-radio personality,
from Darkness Radio, Mr. Dave Schrader.
Dave, how are you?
Doing great, Dean. Thanks a lot.
You know, this entire "Ghost Adventures" event
is exciting on so many different levels.
Not only are the guys exploring
one of the most haunted sites in North America,
but, you at home, you have unprecedented opportunity
to interact and affect the outcome of tonight's broadcast.
We want to hear your comments.
Maybe you spot something on the webcam
streaming live on ghostadventureslive.com.
Or, if you want, you can just go ahead
and send some positive accolades and information
out to Zak, Nick, and Aaron.
I'm gonna be reading your messages live on air
as we go through the show this evening,
and we'll be running your messages
across the bottom of the screen throughout the night.
So stay involved and be a part of the investigation.
Now, later in the evening, the "Ghost Adventures" team
will be investigating one of the compound's
most mysterious buildings, the Medical Center,
which has never before been opened
to any kind of paranormal investigation.
And you'll be able to text in your vote
on what you think should happen once they get inside.
Now here's the question.
"A," in the body cooler of the morgue...
Now, you can find out more about these areas
at ghostadventureslive.com.
So check it out and text us with your vote.
Thanks so much, Dave.
Okay, the guys are out front,
and they're just about ready to go.
And they could really use your input.
After all, conducting a live paranormal investigation
on television is no easy task.
The main building is nearly 1,300 feet long,
and we had to install cameras and cabling everywhere.
Conducting a live, televised ghost hunt
is a real challenge technically,
and we want you to know exactly
how the "Ghost Adventures" team is going to do it.
[ Static buzzes ]
The asylum's thick stone walls
make it impossible to transmit any images wirelessly
from inside the building to the outside world,
so the team's cameras will have to be hard-wired.
In each area they investigate,
they'll have to locate a cable drop like this one,
indicated by a red diode, and plug their cameras in.
We're using nearly 18 miles of cabling
to connect all 37 cameras here at the asylum.
Satellite trucks then feed the action
directly to you as it happens.
We've also installed infrared robotic cameras
throughout the building so we can monitor the action.
And thanks to strategically positioned X cameras,
you'll also be able to keep an eye on the hot spots live
by visiting www.ghostadventureslive.com.
Remember, as always, the guys are going to be locked
inside this monstrous asylum
with no help from anyone on the outside.
In the event of a problem...
[ Static buzzes ]
...we also have paramedics standing by.
So, as you can see, a lot could go wrong in there.
Well, it looks like John Jordan, whose family runs the asylum,
is standing by with the key to the main doors.
It's time for the "Ghost Adventures" crew
to be locked in.
ZAK: [ Laughs ]
You guys ready for this?
NICK: Yeah, I'm ready, man.
This place is just massive.
A live lockdown.
AARON: It's huge.
I can't wait to get in here, see what we can capture.
Let's do this!
It's gonna be one hell of a night.
This is awesome.
[ Laughs ]
One hell of a night.
ZAK: Well, it still is the Devil's Night, like I said.
[ Door creaks ]
[ Exhales sharply ]
NICK: All right, man.
[ Laughs ]
Weird.
Whew!
All right, guys. You ready?
Wow, once he shuts that door -- Whoa, whoa.
Hang on.
Yeah, I feel it.
Hang on.
[ Laughs ] I can't see anything.
Where'd the light go?
You know about the no-flashlight rule.
Wow, does this place have a different feel, doesn't it?
Yep.
I think the table's right there.
Night time -- Where?
Table's right here, dude.
Can't even see.
[ Laughs ]
All right, cool. Aaron, right here.
Oh, watch out.
[ Chuckling ] I can't see.
Okay. You guys patch in.
All right.
Yep.
Okay. Do you see your LED lights?
Yeah, I got it.
Okay.
Okay. Guys, go.
[ Sighs ] Watch out.
I can see okay.
It's hard to maneuver in the dark like this.
It is, man.
[ Sighs ] Oh [bleep]
Hope you guys are ready for us!
Wow.
Okay, are you guys patched in?
Yeah. Let me get --
You see me?
Hey, Dean, can you see me?
HAGLUND: Uh, yeah.
Yeah, Zak, we can hear you, and we can see you.
Everything looks good. How's it look in there?
Pitch-black.
It looks all lit up around me, doesn't it?
Well, I can't see anything,
'cause that's night vision, so it's pitch-black.
So, I'm just making sure you can see me okay.
Yeah, we sure can.
Okay, guys, let's get ready.
Civil War. Let's get our equipment ready, okay?
NICK: Yeah, I'm ready.
I'm ready.
You ready? Okay.
I just got to grab a...
...digital recorder.
Let me... Okay, let me...
[ Chuckling ] I can't see anything.
All right, listen, this is the only time
we're allowed to use a flashlight,
to look at the stuff at our base, okay?
Yep.
Here's -- Let's throw this up here. Okay.
HAGLUND: The guys have decided to begin their investigation
over in the oldest section of the asylum.
Okay. [ Sighs ] Guys, let's go.
It was completed back in 1860,
even before the walls of the main building went up.
It's called the Civil War Wing,
but apparently the spirits there are anything but civil.
We've heard doors opening, slamming.
[ Doors slam ]
It was a pretty strong force, because I literally dove forward
and spread everybody apart.
[ Door squeaks, slams ]
We're live in Weston, West Virginia,
where the "Ghost Adventures" team
has just been locked inside the massive walls
of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
Their first investigation will be inside what many say
is the most haunted section of the building.
Tonight's paranormal investigation
will begin in the oldest section of the asylum,
the Civil War Wing.
This was the only section of the asylum
that had been finished when hostilities broke out
between the Union and the Confederacy
in April of 1861.
[ Cannon fire ]
The Union's Seventh Ohio Infantry
seized the partially built southern wing
and turned it into Camp Tyler,
and Weston became an important military post.
Many believe that soldiers from both sides
may still stand guard in the Civil War Wing today.
Shelly Baily works as a volunteer,
giving tours of the asylum.
This hall, which served as classrooms for the patients
in later years,
is the site of all sorts of strange events.
We've heard people talking,
doors opening, slamming.
[ Doors slam ]
One night, I was walking up through here,
and all of a sudden -- this door was already closed --
this door opened...
[ Door slams ]
...and slammed.
It didn't stop.
[ Door slams ]
It just kept slamming...
[ Door slams ]
...and slamming.
HAGLUND: The middle hall of the Civil War Wing,
which served as a pharmacy for the patients,
is also a hotbed of paranormal activity.
I probably had what I would consider
my most traumatic paranormal experience
actually in this little room behind me.
HAGLUND: Here in the pharmacy,
former hospital employee Mike Heath
was actually assaulted by a spirit.
It was about 1:00 on a Sunday morning.
We had about eight people in our group.
As I came through this door,
four fingers went down the middle of my back,
and nudged me out into the crowd.
Now, it was a pretty strong force,
because I literally dove forward
and spread everybody apart.
It is a feeling I will never forget.
It'll definitely stick with me the rest of my life.
That is the first time anything in this building
actually laid hands on me.
[ Door squeaks, slams ]
The ghosts of the Civil War Wing seem pretty violent.
We'll see how -- We'll have to see
how the guys are gonna handle it.
Let's check in on them right now inside the asylum
as they begin their investigation.
I can't see anything.
AARON: Let me switch my --
Aaron, switch off night vision...
Okay.
...just to show how completely dark it is.
It's off night vision. [ Chuckles ]
It's off night vision?
Yeah, it's dark.
Okay -- I know it look all lit up out here,
but again, that's infrared light.
These are night-vision cameras.
We can only see by looking through these LCD screens.
And I don't have a camera,
so I'm gonna do the touch-feely method.
Is there anybody in here?
[ Siren wailing in distance ]
Shh, shh.
NICK: Are there any Union soldiers in here
or Confederate soldiers?
Somebody in here, make a noise.
Got a siren outside.
[ Wailing continues ]
[ Clack ]
Whoa, you hear that?
You hear that knock?
Yeah. What was that?
That was right in front of you, man.
Right out there. Straight in the --
Is that the barracks?
Did you just make -- Hang on.
Yeah, I think it is.
Did you just make a noise?
Can you make another noise for me, please?
[ Wailing stops ]
Is there any Union soldiers in here?
This is the barracks, guys.
Hold on a second.
Was that your wire or --
Was it this?
What's that?
Yeah, that was your wire.
Yeah, that was the wire.
We heard someone walking up, but it was his wire.
His wire?
Yeah.
Okay. Come on.
[ Coughs ]
Guys, I did hear -- Is there any soldiers in here?
If there's any Union soldiers in here,
we're Confederate soldiers.
Oh, man.
If you don't like us in here...
[ Chuckling ] Geez.
...can you escort us out of here?
[ Clink, click ]
Whoa.
Did you hear that?
Yes, yes, yes.
That was like a moan?
Yeah -- It sounded like female moans.
Yes, it did. It did.
Dude, was that from here? Where was it from?
Yeah, it was down the hallway. Right here, down here.
Down here? Down from there?
Yeah, keep going down.
Hold on. Shh.
Ooh.
I know. I heard it, too, guys.
Hang on.
I want to make sure that, hopefully,
we picked that up on our wireless.
Hold on, guys.
What am I stepping on? Holy crap.
You all right, Aaron? Come on.
I can't even see where I'm going.
Is there a female in here?
Did we just hear you moan?
Zak, I'm gonna start rolling on my digital recorder.
Okay.
Are you sure that that female --
Dude, I heard it loud as day.
Did you hear that from in here,
or did it seem like it came from the other part?
No, it sounded like it was down in the corner over here.
Can you guys reach up further?
Yeah, yeah.
Okay.
Nick, are you rolling on that?
Yeah.
Rolling on my digital recorder.
Okay.
Let's try to capture some of these voices in here.
Now, these -- If we do capture the voices
on this digital recorder,
they're called EVPs, or electronic voice phenomena.
We just heard a female moan.
That's a disembodied voice.
When we catch them on a digital recorder,
that's an EVP -- a spirit voice.
It's more sensitive than our human ears can hear.
...that we just heard.
If so, can you please come up to this --
Let me see it, Nick.
Can you please come up to this red light
and speak for us?
[ Knock ]
Whoa.
Whoa.
Aaron, turn around, get that.
Whoa.
Just watch over there, Aaron, okay?
Yeah. Got this light on me.
Okay.
All right, so, there was a knock right behind us.
Mark that.
We heard a knock on that.
I can't see.
Okay, was that a knock saying that you are female?
Can you make another noise or come speak?
Whoa.
There was another knock.
Mnh-mnh.
Are you one of the Union soldiers
that was brought here when you were wounded?
Now, listen, I know this is a mental facility.
It was a hospital, okay?
And we come here with no disrespect
towards any patients that were admitted in here
or were dropped off by your family.
I think that's very sad, and I will console with you.
And we're just here to talk with you.
If you're still here -- that's right --
I am talking to you.
And I want you to come up and talk to us.
We can hear you through this,
and I want to know if we heard you.
That female moan, was that you?
Can you say your name to me, please?
There's another --
Yeah.
Now, if you want to be mean to us,
because I know down here -- Come here, guys.
Yeah, I can't --
It just seems like --
[ Click ]
[Bleep] that?
Okay, let's go down here, guys.
A bunch of bricks.
Okay.
Hang on, Nick.
Come on.
Hang on. [ Laughs ]
There we go.
Let's go.
Okay, hang on.
Can't see that light.
Aaron.
It was coming --
Aaron, hang on a second.
That sound was coming from up here, Zak.
I know.
It was coming from right over there.
Is there someone down at the end of this hallway?
Were you making that noise?
Were you knocking on something
to let us know that you're here?
There's something --
Now it's in this room.
Yeah.
Here, I'll stay focused here for a sec.
Keep asking.
Aaron, let's move this way.
Whoa, whoa, whoa!
What's up?
What's up, Zak? What do you got?
Shh.
You didn't just hear that?
I didn't hear it, no.
You did not?
What'd you hear?
I heard a voice go, "Aah."
You did? All right.
Hold on.
So, mark that voice there Zak heard.
Hey, Billy, when you go over this audio footage,
will you check and mark just before this
about 10, 15 seconds
and see if you caught some kind of a moan,
another moan, like a moan in distress?
And it's always good to give a little bit of pause
after you ask a question,
because it uses a lot of energy for these spirits to speak.
So, that's why we give a couple seconds
so they can respond to us,
to our questions that we're asking.
Are you in here?
Can you please come and speak to me?
Aaron.
Yeah?
Grab your EMF detector out.
Start seeing if we can
pick up on any electromagnetic energy.
This EMF detector that Aaron's gonna use
measures electromagnetic fields.
Ghosts are said to be made up of electromagnetic energy.
Aaron, if you get any spikes --
Can you see okay, man?
Yeah.
Do you want me to set it for you?
[ Dial clicks ]
Whoa.
Whoa.
Crossfire.
[ Snap ]
Whoa.
Okay, who's here?
I don't want to be hearing little noises here and there,
and I'm not trying to be rude to you,
but if you want to get our attention,
will you please come up to us?
Were you a patient here?
Will you please come speak to me?
Were you a patient here?
Are you lost? Do you need any help?
[ Distant rustling ]
You hear that?
Yeah, I heard that again.
Like a dragging.
Aaron, you're not even moving, right?
Well, I'm moving side to side, but --
All right. Just wanted to mark.
We're hearing some unexplained noises.
We're trying to figure out what may be
the source of these noises.
Obviously, we can't say every noise is paranormal.
But, however, if there's a noise
after we ask a question to make a noise,
may be intelligence to it, may be a spirit.
But I did hear, so far, a female moan,
and I also heard some kind of a male --
like a patient moan from back here.
Did -- All three of us heard the female moan?
Yeah.
Yes.
Okay.
For sure.
Now, again, if you are a patient here,
I bring no disrespect to you.
We're here just to --
[ Clack ]
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
What? What?
Hold on.
I can't see.
Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here. Come here.
Guys, wh--
NICK: Can't see. Hold on. Hold on.
Ooh.
AARON: Oh.
Hold on.
Sorry.
Watch the wiring.
Wow -- The guys seem to be encountering
all sorts of inexplicable phenomena
in the Civil War Wing.
We'll see if they recorded any of the ghostly whispers
on their EVPs, or electronic voice phenomena,
and we'll post the results at ghostadventureslive.com.
Later, guest investigator
and paranormal sensitive Chris Fleming
will attempt to make direct contact
with the voices of the other side
using his spirit box.
You're watching "Ghost Adventures Live."
Welcome back to Weston, West Virginia,
and our live coverage of the ghost adventurers
from the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum.
Zak, Nick, and Aaron have made
some EVP recordings in the Civil War Wing,
so our audio-evidence specialist Billy Tolley has to run out
to the drop-off point behind the asylum to pick it up.
Now, you might be able to catch Aaron on our first-floor webcams
when he heads over there at ghostadventures.li-- dot --
ghostadventureslive.com.
Now let's get back to the action.
Are you on this?
AARON: I'm on it, man.
There it goes again. Thank you. Thank you.
Now, this is a way we're communicating with you.
If you're a patient, can you make this thing spike?
Can you step near my hand and just try and grab my hand?
And when you do, it'll make this spike.
Are you a patient?
Whoa.
See it?
NICK: Yep.
See it?
That wasn't as far as it was going.
It was going all the way up to a five and a six.
Did we -- Okay, I'm gonna ask you a question.
If the answer to the question is yes,
I would like you to come over here
and grab my hand with your hand.
And by your hand touching my hand,
this device will sense that -- It will sense your energy.
Grab my hand if you are a patient.
Can you grab my hand if you're a Civil War soldier?
Look at that, man.
Yeah, it just --
Just like that, it's gone.
It's like it walked away.
If you can hear my voice, and you're still here,
can you walk over to us and use your energy?
There it goes a little bit.
Use your energy. Use our energy.
We would like you to manifest yourself.
This thing was going nuts.
Nuts.
That's awesome.
It was going up to a fi--
There it goes. There it goes.
Did you get it?
No.
Stay on it, Aaron.
Are you back now?
Do you like us?
Come and step to us. Don't be afraid of us.
It jumped.
Obviously, you wanted to contact us if we heard you.
Can you grab my hand right now?
Can you please come and grab my hand?
Go ahead. Touch it.
Touch my hand.
There you go. Go on.
Touch it. There you go. You're getting stronger.
Don't be shy. Come all the way up to me.
I just -- Yes, I am talking to you.
I know it's -- There it goes.
Did you get that?
Yep.
Whew, my hand is tingling right now.
Guys, my hand is, like, ice-cold,
and it's tingling.
And that could mean that there's a spirit
right now in front of me.
'Cause, as you can see,
this is base-lining at a one milligauss.
That means there is no electromagnetic energy present
in this entire area.
And as I'm sitting here, there is no explanation
for this thing to be jumping like that.
That was awesome.
Look at -- Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Get that?
Wow.
You getting that?
Whoa!
That's the strongest one.
Aaron, you got it?
My hand -- Dude, guys, my hand.
My hand, my hand is -- Wow.
Look at that.
Wow! Wow! Wow, my hand!
Aaron, you got it?
My hand, my hand.
Ooh.
Whoa, whoa.
Oh, man.
Can you yell something to us?
Wow.
Oh, my gosh. My hand is -- is...
It's like I'm being touched right now, guys.
Just got the chills on my leg.
Did you see it?
Did it get it on camera?
Oh, yeah. I got it.
Chills in my legs bad.
[ Exhales sharply ]
Okay, if you're right here by this door that they slammed --
Did -- [ Exhales sharply ]
And just to show you, just to show you --
Did you see how big those spikes are?
Yeah, that was awesome.
Did that hit a 10 on the spike?
Yeah.
There it goes again.
Zak, and we're --
Lookit, lookit, lookit.
And we're right in front of this door here that slams shut.
Look. Are you getting that?
Yeah.
My hand is feel -- And the same time as it does this,
I'm getting, like, pins and needles through my hand.
Are you?
Okay, look, we're gonna put this down now
because I think that you're here.
I think you're here with us.
Can we go the next step?
Can you give us some kind of a physical evidence
that you're here?
Now, there was a lady named Shelly Baily
that's a tour guide here,
and she saw this door slam shut.
I have a little device here.
When I turn it on --
[ Device clicks ]
Okay, I just turned it on.
I'm gonna put it down right here.
This is an electromagnetic-energy box.
As I turned it on, it just created a huge E.M. field.
I want you to use this energy here...
to try and make this door shut.
It just goes to show you -- Get on this side.
One of you over here, one of you over here.
One of you get on this side. Let's --
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa,
whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
What's up?
[ Door creaks ]
Dude. Did you hear that?
Hold on.
Hold on.
Let me just see something for a second.
That might do it by itself. Hang on.
Okay. We debunked that now.
Yeah, you got to let it set.
Okay.
Let's let it set. Let's let it settle.
You want me to get in there?
No, hang on.
[ Scrape ]
What was that?
That was me moving my cord.
Okay. Okay.
Can you make this door move?
You can probably feel this as I turned it on.
I want to see what Shelly Baily, the tour guide, saw.
Can you slam that door shut?
And if you're slamming doors shut,
you must not be that happy.
What do you think, Nick? Aaron, anything over there?
No.
I think whatever was here kind of went away.
It walked away.
Yeah, I feel really -- I feel normal here, man.
When we walk around, there's one thing
that these cameras here really can't convey to you.
It's that static-charge feeling.
And when we walk around,
we're hearing some, you know, unexplained noises,
stuff like that, you know, like I said, we really can't
pinpoint that as being paranormal.
But when we have a scientific instrument
like this EMF detector,
and we were detecting something right here,
along with the unexplained moan.
Well, that's why we'd get out the digital recorder.
And we start recording to see if we can get a full voice.
Here, this is the one we were -- You want to use this one?
So, you're not gonna close or slam
any of those doors for us?
Okay, listen, if you don't like us over here,
when we leave over in this area,
slam that door as hard as you can,
and we'll leave you alone.
Again, we're not showing any disrespect to you.
Guys, let's go switch gears and go to the dark side...
Okay.
...where that guy was attacked.
Where Mike Heath was?
[ Exhales deeply ]
This place is creepy.
Do you have that digital recorder
that we just recorded EVP on?
Yeah, do you want it?
No, just hold on. Hold on.
Okay.
All right, right now, we're gonna go into the old pharmacy,
and apparently, in here,
there's this guy named Mike Heath
that says -- And he was a big guy.
Yeah, that guy was muscular. Big guy.
He was pushed in here. Man, that was good.
That was good. That was good stuff, guys...
Yeah.
...that EMF we took.
That was crazy, man.
And I hope we got that woman's moan on audio.
Okay, come on. Is this it?
Oh, this is kind of creepy.
Come on. Now we're gonna switch gears.
Sorry, Nick.
Aaron?
Yeah?
Come on.
Right behind you.
Okay. Are you guys good?
Yep.
Are you guys okay? Okay.
Was this it, Nick?
Yeah, pharmacy's right in here,
and it looks like this used to be the old --
where they used to hand out
all the medicine and stuff in here.
Was this the area where the guy got pushed?
Up further.
Okay.
Ooh.
What was that?
That was -- I just bumped into that table.
That was me.
[ Chuckling ] Dude, sorry.
My bad. I wasn't looking.
All right, so you pushed a big, old guy here.
This is where one of our Xs are.
You can see me. That's our X camera.
Will you please watch this camera
when I start doing this?
You pushed a big, old guy.
Now I'm gonna switch gears.
Push me!
He got pushed from this doorway on his back.
Nick, watch.
Yeah, right back here.
Push me right now!
I want to see what he felt.
[ Chuckling ] Wow.
It looks like Zak is ready to get a bit violent there.
So, later, they'll continue their investigation
over in Ward One,
and paranormal sensitive Chris Fleming is standing by
to get locked into the asylum with them.
And later, three huge "Ghost Adventure" fans
will get a chance of a lifetime,
joining Zak, Nick, and Aaron for their very first ghost hunt.
They'll be exploring one of the most terrifying areas
of the asylum, Ward F,
where only the most psychotic patients were kept
under lock and key.
It's like I'm being touched right now, guys.
My hand -- Dude, guys, my hand.
My hand, my hand is -- Wow!
NICK: Look at that.
Wow!
AARON: Whoa!
My hand, my hand, my hand!
Whoa! Whoa! Oh, man.
Can you yell something to us?
HAGLUND: Live, here in Weston, West Virginia,
we're exploring one of the most frightening buildings
I've ever seen.
I mean, just look at it.
Inside, Zak, Nick, and Aaron
are making their way from the Civil War Wing
back to the front atrium to greet Chris Fleming.
Their investigations will continue in Ward One,
one of the asylum's most crowded halls
when it was operational,
and apparently, it's now crowded with spirits.
Take a look.
Located just south of the main atrium
on the asylum's first floor,
Ward One was usually reserved for female patients,
and as former psychiatric aide Sue Parker recalls,
some of them were less than friendly to the staff.
When I met Ruthie, she was in her 80s.
She was violent.
When she sat in the feeder chair,
she'd pound on that feeder chair with her hands.
When you got closer to her, she'd jump out and grab you.
And if there's a man come on the ward,
she'd holler, "Get out! Get out of here!"
HAGLUND: Ruthie passed away during her time at the asylum,
but Sue is convinced the woman's spirit lives on.
My daughter and I was walking down this hallway one day,
and she was asking me about old Ruth.
So I said, "Ruthie?
Ruthie, can you come out and play?"
And I began to look around for her, and nothing,
and all of the sudden, I felt --
just as I got about to here --
I felt a pressure on this side of my arm,
and I just went and hit the door like this.
Ruthie did it. I know she did.
HAGLUND: But that's not the only ghostly assault
that's been reported on Ward One.
It was the night before Halloween,
and I will not come back in this hospital on Halloween.
HAGLUND: This is the first time Jenna Maxwell
has dared to return to the asylum since 2007,
when she helped stage a Halloween night of horror.
During the Haunted Hospital, I was standing at this point,
checking on people, watching people.
All the sudden, I hear my friend Caroline scream.
HAGLUND: In one of the patient rooms,
her friend was dressed up as a psychotic nurse.
All she could say was, "Help me. Help me.
Something is pulling me. What is going on?"
The chain is pulled tight
where we had shackles around her ankles,
and it was not attached to anything.
It was a blank chain,
just laying on the floor for decoration.
It was pulled tight.
It felt like a full-grown man was pulling on that chain.
It was all I could do to get those shackles unbuckled
and to get her loose.
HAGLUND: Their Halloween pageant
had become all too horribly real.
We made fun of people who had stayed here,
people who have died here, and nurses, doctors --
almost like we offended their pasts.
I think we taunted them. We really taunted the spirits.
So, the first floor seems to have
its share of violent spirits.
To help the guys track them down,
we've enlisted the help of ghost tracker
and paranormal sensitive Chris Fleming.
Chris, how are you?
Good. How are you?
Excellent.
Thanks for having me.
Good to see you.
Now, what do you make of this place?
Well, this place is insane.
When you look at the clear size of this thing,
I'm really curious what's inside there.
Absolutely -- Now, you're bringing in
some special high-tech tools here.
What exactly is this?
This is, actually, the Mel meter.
What it does -- It picks up any fluctuations
in the temperature and EMF field.
Right.
But we've actually modified this for tonight's investigation.
Cool.
It's gonna create a field,
and if anything comes in contact with this,
these lights are gonna go off.
Oh, cool -- So we can see that right away?
Absolutely.
Excellent.
And this here -- Is this your Spirit Box
I've heard so much about?
This is the SB7, and what this does --
It creates radio signals.
And what we're hoping, if there's anything in there,
that it will actually communicate with us
through this device.
Oh, cool. And the speakers will play that live?
Absolutely.
Fantastic.
Well, we look forward to that.
Now, remember, afterwards,
Chris Fleming is finished inside the asylum,
he'll be sitting down to take your questions
over a live video chat at ghostadventureslive.com,
so be sure to log on for that.
Chris, good luck in there.
Thank you very much.
And be careful, my friend.
All right.
Okay.
[ Dramatic music plays ]
[ Door creaks open ]
Hey, guys, you in there?
[ Chuckling ] It is dark as heck in here, man.
Where are you?
Hey.
How are you?
What's up, Zak? Nice to meet you.
NICK: What's up, Chris?
Hey, Nick.
Good to see you.
Thanks for having me.
Chris, we're gonna start heading over to Ward One.
Okay.
Okay?
But before we head over there, Chris,
Aaron's already patched in over there,
but, Aaron, before we start,
take that digital recorder that we just recorded
over at the Civil War Wing...
AARON: Okay.
...and do the drop-off.
Go to the drop-off area, where the window's broken,
hand it off to Billy.
Okay.
Okay?
Okay, guys, you ready for this?
All right, I'm heading over to the drop-off.
FLEMING: How's the activity? Anything?
It's good, man.
We were in the Civil War area.
This place is creepy.
And we went in there for a little while.
We heard some unexplained noises,
but we couldn't pinpoint that,
AARON: Billy, you there?
obviously, as being paranormal.
But then we heard this female moan.
Digital recorder.
Really?
Drop-off point.
It was like, "Whoo," and we all heard it,
and it was very much female...
Hope you get something on there.
...and you could tell.
NICK: That's it.
I know. I'm just saying.
Are you guys getting sounds like that, too?
Are you hearing stuff move around?
No.
I mean, there was a couple little noises...
Let's head in.
...but we couldn't debunk these noises,
but there was one really loud one
that was just, like, "Jshhh."
Yeah.
It was awesome.
But the woman's voice was --
It -- it -- it -- You could feel it.
But then we took our EMF detector --
Thing started going nuts.
Really?
Yeah. It was -- It was cool.
All right, Zak, I'm not unpatched.
Aaron, you good?
Okay.
AARON: I'm on.
Unpatch there, Nick,
and then come back into Ward One and patch in.
Hey, Aaron. How are you?
Good, man.
Good to see you, bro.
[ Chuckling ] It's tough to see in the dark.
I know -- Me, too.
Now, the one thing I got to tell you is
I noticed when I came from this room into this room
there's definitely a difference in, like, the ambiance...
In the feeling?
...or the feeling, or the energy, everything.
That's what I'm saying.
This one -- It's more --
I don't like the feeling because I'm getting kind of...
That's what -- Yeah.
...agitated, kind of nervous,
kind of confused, so to speak.
That's what I'm feeling.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And it goes -- It goes in deep, doesn't it?
Absolutely.
And that's what I always say, is the cameras can't --
You can't feel through the cameras.
But that's the feeling.
It's like hitting a brick wall as soon as you come in here.
Right, and you feel it, like, all along your back
to where you're kind of like, "Ooh," you know?
Like a static charge.
Absolutely.
Now, Chris, this is where that Ruthie has been said to be,
and that's the female patient, the older lady,
who died here, that was very mean when she was alive,
and they think that she's still here, but are you...
Have you even noticed by looking down --
Look where the windows are --
The three windows all the way at the end.
Uh-huh.
If you look closely,
have you seen any movement whatsoever?
Because I just saw a slight shadow.
I want to make sure it's not my eyes just playing tricks.
I didn't see it.
But to the left pane right there --
As if something's kind of stepping forward
and blocking it, and then going back.
[ Chuckles ]
Just watch.
Whoa.
Nick, Aaron, you guys got a camera?
NICK: We're not even moving.
Can I ask if there's anything down there?
Yeah, go ahead.
Is there anybody down there?
If so, can you give us a sign?
Can you make a sound please or something?
Was that you that I saw in the left windowpane?
Is that -- That's not our reflection, is it?
No. No. There's no reflection.
Okay.
AARON: Can I get in front of you?
Yeah.
Can you come forward, please?
Don't be afraid of us.
We want to communicate with you,
find out why you're still here.
I don't know if you guys are seeing that,
but if you look at the left pane,
it's just on the side.
It's afraid to come even a little bit further.
Don't be afraid of us.
If you're not gonna be mean to us,
we're not gonna be mean to you at all.
We're not gonna show you any disrespect.
You know that feeling that I got right there has left a little bit.
Yeah.
It, like, comes in waves.
Yeah.
Well, the question is whether or not is you're just going
into that room and you feel the total ambiance
of the room or is something
coming close to you and then leaving?
Let me turn this on...
Wait, wait, wait, Chris.
You see what I mean?
Yeah.
Watch that.
Can you manifest?
Show yourself please.
ZAK: I've got a chill down my spine, I'm getting chills on my back.
Got cold all of the sudden.
Didn't it get cold?
All right let me put this on and see what the temperatures doing.
My hand is shaking because of the coldness.
Are you Ruthie?
Oh, wait, was that you guys?
We've got 58 degrees right now.
Wait a minute, wait a minute!
Wait -- Chris.
That was not you guys.
You saw some movement didn't you?
ZAK: Oh no, I didn't just see some movement,
I saw a whole thing go in that left window over there.
Watch.
Is that you Ruthie?
Are you filming down there, Nick?
NICK: Aaron, you got that?
AARON: I got it.
Yeah, you gotta get a camera down there.
NICK: Aaron's filming it.
Please show yourself -- don't be afraid.
Okay, we're at 58 degrees.
ZAK: The whole, the whole...
I'm gonna put this on as well.
We're at what 58 degrees?
Yeah, what this device is gonna do too--
not only do we get the temperature and any type of EMF fluctuations,
we're also gonna create a magnetic field a couple of feet
that if anything passes by us
or makes contact, like this, it'll light up.
Okay, so we're hoping that if something
will make contact, it'll light this up for us.
We're just here to talk with you, okay, can you please...
I know it must be weird that we're talking to you,
if you've been here for a long time and nobody has done this.
Can you please come to us
and maybe manifest and show yourself?
What was that?
I heard that.
What?
Did you hear that?
Yeah.
And Ruthie does not like men.
It sounded like a female, it was like, "waaa".
The one thing I'm getting right now,
is I'm getting this apprehension, kind of like
a little bit of scared, or a little bit of angry.
Well, Ruthie hates men, did you know that?
Ruthie that's said to be here, she doesn't like men if that's her.
Why doesn't she like men?
I don't know, one of the workers, Sue, used to work here
and she used to sit in that chair,
and Sue Parker would feed her and said that when men would come in here,
Ruthie would scream that she hates men.
And she died here.
She would yell verbal stuff to them,
everybody who walked by, she would just yell at them.
And that's an actual hospital employee.
Has anybody heard her since then talking at all?
Any type of voices, ghost voices, anything like that?
A girl actually, one of these rooms here, right Zak?
Whoa feel this?
It's -- it's -- we're at 59 degrees though,
we're getting some fluctuations between 58 and 59.
So already some strange things happening on the inside.
We'll see if Chris can actually make contact, and if you have questions for him,
later he will be conducting a live chat at ghostadventureslive.com.
And later this evening, the guys will be joined
by EVP specialists Mark and Debbie Constantino
who can actually record and play back spirit voices on the spot.
Their goal is to make contact with the asylum's most famous ghost.
A little girl who many say was born here and died here.
A girl named Lily.
And welcome back to our "Ghost Adventures Live"
paranormal investigation of the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum
in Weston, West Virginia.
Zak, Nick and Aaron have already had some pretty
startling encounters in the Civil War wing,
and now the team has been joined by spirit medium,
Chris Fleming, and it looks like they're ready
to explore Ward One -- let's get back to him now.
In the room in Ward One, we have Chris Fleming with us
and this is a room where we heard earlier, a lady--
they were doing some kind of a haunted house here a couple of years ago
or something, and she was playing a psychotic nurse
and she was in here, she had leg shackles around her ankles
and other eye witnesses saw her being dragged by some unseen force,
and Chris and I just saw a dark shadow dart from this corridor over here.
So we need to simulate this again and try
and retrigger this energy to see if this malevolent spirit shows itself again.
So, Aaron...
It's going down right now.
Yeah, yeah, it's dropping.
What is dropping?
The temperature.
We were at 60.1, now we're at 58.9,
Okay.
and it keeps going down.
ZAK: Now drops in temperature, unexplained temperature fluctuations
can also indicate the presence of a spirit.
Aaron, why don't you sit down here and we're gonna...
sit down, sit down.
CHRIS: All right, let me just put this on you.
ZAK: Now listen, all right.
We're gonna go out there.
Chris, do you want while he's in here we'll use him as a trigger?
Agh, it's tight.
CHRIS: What I would do too, is get in the corner of the room
so it gives more room for any spirit to come in.
Yeah, go ahead.
Oh my God, you guys are serious.
CHRIS: Hey, better you than me man.
It's like that voodoo place where we were all tied up
in those shackles, agh, I hated that moment.
CHRIS: You'll be fine, those guys are nuts.
No Aaron, there's no spiders.
Okay.
And also, Chris brought this little sensor here,
and if anything comes into the room, right Chris, you'll see this kinda change...
It'll fluctuate.
It'll fluctuate, so Aaron keep your eyes on this and let us know
if you feel something come in here.
The temperature is dropping already which could indicate the presence of a spirit.
Chris, do you wanna go out, maybe do try the spirit box?
Yeah.
Well hey man, it's up to you.
ZAK: Aaron, keep us informed okay?
Aaron, do you have a digital recorder on you?
CHRIS: Nick, there's something that just moved
right over there by that guy right over there.
ZAK: Okay, Nick, do you have a digital recorder?
CHRIS: Very similar to what Zak and I saw --
something earlier just moved right over there.
Just moved right over there.
ZAK: It did it again?
CHRIS: I'm totally serious.
ZAK: Do you wanna try and communicate?
CHRIS: Yeah, let me try communicating.
(gasping)
ZAK: You gotta be kidding me.
CHRIS: Dude, you're gonna be fine, don't worry.
I'm gonna put the spirit box on and see if we get any voices.
NICK: Hey Zak, Zak close the door.
Okay, hang on.
Chris I'm gonna grab this.
Okay.
Geez, don't shut the door.
ZAK: Aaron, just let us know if anything happens seriously, okay.
(static)
I'm setting it at 2MS and let's go.
Now we're gonna try and hear spirits speaking to us in real time.
Absolutely.
You can speak through this device.
Did we see you?
Did Chris and I see you down here, walk across the hall.
(indistinct sound)
NICK: What was that?
ZAK: Stop -- what did it say?
CHRIS: I don't know.
What did it say?
I don't know but that was loud.
NICK: Can you speak to us, can you say something again?
(spirit box static)
Speak to us.
Who are you?
I'm Nick.
I think it said "Who are you?"
Who are you, Ruthie, are you here?
(indistinct sound)
NICK: Are you one of the patient's that are here?
We're gettin' something.
(indistinct sound)
No, just said no.
That was a no.
NICK: You're not a patient here, can you tell us who you are?
(indistinct sound)
Hello, did you hear that?
Whoa, holy cow, that was a male voice?
That was a male voice yeah.
NICK: I just got that, look at my hair on my arms.
Dude, my whole body.
Yeah, that feeling, that static charge?
That's good, good, let's get more.
NICK: Sir, you're a male guy who used to work here?
Speak to me.
(beeps)
What was that?
I have no idea.
Do you like us being in here with you?
(spirit box static)
No way?
Do you want us to leave?
(indistinct sound)
I don't wanna?
NICK: I don't wanna.
CHRIS: What are you trying to say, you don't want what?
(indistinct sound)
Whoa, this things going nuts.
NICK: He said, "Do you know what you're doing?"
(beeps)
I don't know what those sounds are dude,
I've never heard those types of sounds before.
Usually, we might get some radio frequencies here and there.
Really?
But we're getting like beeping sounds.
Yeah, yeah.
Are those sounds from this asylum when it was active.
(indistinct sound)
CHRIS: Oh my God.
ZAK: He said, "Yes they were."
Oh my God, dude.
Whoa, did you hear that?
This is live, we're doing this live right now.
Holy (bleep).
NICK: You guys heard that say, "Yes you are."
Can you please give us more of those sounds
of what this asylum used to sound like.
(indistinct sound)
I can't.
NICK: Can you tell us how many spirits are here right now, yell it.
(beeps)
NICK: Sixteen, is that what it said?
Dude, did you hear that? We just heard that sound again.
How many?
NICK: It said sixteen, that's what I heard.
Can you go in and maybe meet Aaron?
(spirit box static)
CHRIS: It said, "I heard you."
'Cause you can hear us, right?
You're responding.
(indistinct sound)
Sheesh guys.
How many of us are in the hallway right now,
how many of us?
(indistinct sound)
Just one, did you hear it, did you hear it?
It said just one.
Wow.
NICK: That was awesome.
(spirit box static)
Sorry?
Chris, Chris, Chris, Chris,
feel this, feel this, feel it.
Dude, do you feel a breeze, like a just?
Yeah.
It just went down from 61 down to 58.
What was that woman's name, Ruthie?
Ruthie, Ruthie.
Is Ruthie here?
(spirit box static)
Will Ruthie talk to us?
(indistinct sound)
Ruthie why don't you like men?
Do you wanna do harm to us?
(indistinct sound)
This temperature is bouncing around.
Yeah, I know.
From 61, look at it, it just went down to 58.
it's getting very cold around here.
I know, now it's gone, what I felt, what I told you is gone.
NICK: There's a weird feeling in this room,
coming out into here.
Something's going on here, weird.
Ruthie, now listen,
a lot of people have seen you in here, Ruthie.
If you're in here, can you give us some...
Did you hear that?
Can you give us some kind of sign, either speak to us or...
(spirit box static)
CHRIS: What did you say, seven?
Well this thing (inaudible) seven, that's pretty weird.
What, where is Ruthie right now, where is she?
(indistinct sound)
I didn't catch that.
Can you say it again please?
Where is Ruthie right now?
(indistinct sound)
What did you say?
What did you say, can you say that again please?
CHRIS: It said, "in something room", "in something room".
In a room, in a room, what room?
What did you ask her if Ruthie's in a room?
Yeah, where is Ruthie right now?
It says "in something room".
Are you in the room with Aaron?
Are you in a room with a guy shackled up to chains?
Don't ask that.
(indistinct sound)
Chris, I'm gonna go down here...
Hello again.
There was another hello.
Hello.
NICK: That sounded like the same voice too, huh, that male voice.
ZAK: Let's try, we've got past the hello.
It just said hello again.
Why do you keep saying hello to us?
Is there more, are these all different people,
how many of you are there?
ZAK: Just eight?
CHRIS: It said just eight.
ZAK: Did you hear that?
Yeah.
Just eight.
Yeah.
There's eight of you here?
Is Ruthie...
(loud indistinctive sound)
Dude, being sensitive I'm feeling them send their message right through me.
I'm feeling it too.
It's all around, they're all around us right now.
NICK: So you guys are feeling the just energy surround your body?
It's all like a static charge.
NICK: Yeah, I know that's what I was feeling.
And I'm starting to feel weird too, in my head.
(indistinct sound)
Mom, why did they ask for mom?
That's what it said right, mom?
I'm gonna ask, I'm gonna tone this down a little.
You showed yourself to us--
both Zak and I saw you
and can you show yourself again?
We wanna see you, you can probably see us,
but we would like to see you --
don't be afraid, come forward.
(indistinct sound)
What?
Here.
Okay, we know you're here,
so are we, but will you show yourself again please?
I wanna know for sure that you're here by seeing you.
ZAK: Should we check on Aaron?
NICK: Yeah, let's check on him.
Stay here, you guys are getting good...
All right.
(indistinct sound)
ZAK: Aaron, what did it say?
NICK: "Don't go in there", is that what it said?
ZAK: Are you okay?
Yeah dude, it jumped up about 5 or 6 degrees in here.
ZAK: What are you doing? Why are your hands up like that?
It's like I'm shackled.
ZAK: Ruthie, is this the room that you said you are in with Aaron?
If so, can you drag him on the floor?
CHRIS: What are you trying to say?
Dude.
ZAK: Did you just do that with your legs?
Yeah, I'm just moving, sorry.
ZAK: Ruthie, you said you're in a room, are you in this room?
If you don't like men, well,
we've tied one up for you, so go get him.
ZAK: It's hot in here.
AARON: No I'm comfortable.
Really?
Looks like there's plenty of entities trying to break through.
We'll see if they can make contact.
And remember, we want you to make contact with us.
If you see anything on the webcams or any thoughts for the guys, log on to...
and let us know.
Later, Zak, Nick and Aaron will be joined by the remarkable
