sunny just uh... briefly play
we're going to put uh... uh... all of of my uh... rat again uh... from yesterday
on the uh... members show
but i want to leave this clip because
uh... i was on the program with uh... imagine lloyd webber
uh... likenesses andrew lloyd weber's daughter
she's british
and um...
barry nice but i into it with the
with uh... george pataki
who was also on the program in the idea is you know that and and i a tonight
i can appreciate where redding's coming from cuba likes to try and
talk about the he likes that to to have deference
to uh... people
who he considers into intellectually honest brokers
so he was uh... at least
bringing on tom coburn came on her lawyer in the program
and applauding him for at least being intellectually honest enough to realize
that we need to raise revenues in spite of the fact that
coburns been targeted by grover norquist
and find i can
i have
some measure of respect uh... that nearly thought that pat the tacky would
also be one of these guys
uh... and uh... from my perspective the tacky was not easy to she'll lying
uh... uh...
dilution
and uh... that's not a technical term
and uh... attacking what really got me is that during the break we did two
segments or play the first segment like a sale put it on the uh... potion
and i will have it are you tube
we got into an argument about whether or not there was a simpson balls reports i
said there is no simpson balls report
they didn't they didn't uh... had fourteen out of eighteen people graphite
there is no report
is simply a letter to that
simpson and bowls happen to send uh... there was no bipartisan report
internet break the tacky stalking about how he's got a farm
on a lake
apartment on a lake
uh... state that's nice i'd i mean i don't begrudge anybody uh... that uh...
but
the goodness from which he moved from that
to poop ruling
the potential suffering
of people if medicare was cut social security was cut
i'd just
i couldn't deal with it
i got angry
so angry i don't think i came off as angry in the video but uh...
i got the tacky
pissed off enough so that after the segment ended
he looked at cross the table at me
in front of everybody in said
do you really believe what you're saying
i said yes and goes idon't i can't believe it cuz you don't look that
stupid
a former governor of new york state
and i cannot tell you
just how happy rights when he said that cuz i just knew that *** them
these sometimes they they whispering year rap
can you can hear it and it's not necessary for me kabhi for anybody's
talking
uh... it's just segments get a rap and
uh... this is where i used my radio skills to justin
basically jumpin get his anger at the end and uh...
and uh... uh... just email tacky
it was quite enjoyable
i sold let's cut and uh... uh... and this clip uh... where uh... radical is
just about to turn to me
hard personally idea and i return to the fact that we are revenue starred in a
way that we have been for over sixty years
and the thing that's interesting to me as we talk about restructuring debt when
you talk about cutting medicare we talk about raising the retirement age when
you talk about uh... cutting sourced carrier raising retirement that's in
fact what you're doing well you are going well aware on a contract yahoo
makes people and you are ready money that is the batteries arthur and and by
talking about it and get away they can you can look at the idea of of not
meeting those obligations that something is uh... you're talking about when you
talk about cutting so sturdy nobody has a partner wavered i did it last at a
very creative idea but
but into you get an actual the fault which may be coming on the second this
is a guy named william cohen who is written a book about goldman sachs uh...
in sort of left-leaning a disk with delhi uh... it was the first time i've
seen him in thirty five years he's the older brother of a guy doing worcester
disco incidentally but i got back in look what's going on in the bond market
if you check the bond market lately but that is going crazy mario would like to
safely until you have
emil default which may be coming on the second
talk of the structuring is premature is premature and then i met or anything
like it that this is my point
values talking about restructuring our debt our debt obligations in terms of
baby just basically saying uh... you know uh... more less defaulting on part
of it saying you know people really pay a certain the percentage of what we owe
and uh... cohen is saying that we can talk about that until we actually
default
but my argument is that when we say we're gonna cut social security
but we're gonna cut medicare that's in fact what we're doing
we are doing something that is on thinkable to people in the financial
markets but we're simply doing it to the middle class in that case it's not only
thinkable into responsible
defaulting to those people who were put into social security defaulting to those
people who love who have anticipated medicare
defaulting to the american people
who rely on these programs to keep them out of poverty two-thirds of our elderly
kept at a party by its own security
god knows how many you get out of poverty because eight they have health
insurance
when we talk about that it's not default it's not restore trinkets just
its responsibility
right attack is coming up meaning what u emitting that the u_s_ campaigns debts
as if you would g_m_
is neoplasia looks good now to tell but its accuracy ed
elijah ally and i agree with sam on this is an american is paying its debts right
now governor
but civilians from the least politically represented people to paying its debts
by taking away the smallest amount of assistance for sports people it's big
it's dats
seeking to restructure things like medicare social security it's paying its
debts
through the twenty percent unemployment that is created in the housing market in
the the your employment markets
after bailing out the bank's refusing to restructure the housing that
we are restructuring our debt but we're doing on the weakest in these
politically represented or when i read it the last word when i was fractured
that we're spending ourselves into oblivion and we've just seen
the growth of entitlements like obama care massive increase in discretionary
spending guys on sustainable by the way
till it you obviously is but i've been paying a lot of attention of president
of bomb cuz you created this brilliant strongman millions of people dying on
the streets
or we restructure
we stand
napa tacky scott this big smile gas mileage he's saying this
and you can hear our when he was talking about uh... the affordable care act i
mean listen i'm not of the world's biggest fan of it but they clearly does
koscheck's cut expenses it cuts the deficit when you go ten years out
and uh... so a key smell smugly saying
you're creating this trial that people dying on the streets a medicare laughing
about it
contain dot put out a little show positive yeah industry day god would be
against us
at that time and it's not an out there now at work here is an to work in on the
letter and it's also
and in fact the matter is there's a big difference between retiring age sixty
five or sixty seven
or getting health care at sixty five or sixty seven and you would have people go
onto the private insurance market
to get that
laurent holders and all other wealthy in this country doesn't have to pay their
share of taxes designers out this is absolutely station alive
we might free *** you coming in the checking yourself to madness governor i
appreciate that you are doing gauge the debate and drive the madness same goes
for you samitivej in
and i want to say madness when i actually really mean as i feel like
they've been part of one of the more interesting and and compelling debates
on that
but i've had since i started
uh... this debate on this show that the testament to the four of you and i
appreciate that thank you very much of a similar weber sincere former governor
pataki
william call him
and on the video of course you can see how uh... house muddy
how smog
pataki looks and help pesky wise afterwards when he looks across the
table at me and says
rules a stupid
