At the Children's Discovery Center, learning and having fun go hand in hand.
It's fun so they don't think it's school.
This summer the program is focused on science and discovery.
Look at what's around us that is really related to science
and just how they're involved with science everyday and don't really realize.
The kids participate in activities like field trips to the botanic gardens and other science experiments.
(screams and laughter)
The science just expands on what they already know and goes a little further.
(So this is how they make rubber.)
Their education goes further because the learning doesn't stop during the summer break.
(music)
It just helps to improve their skills.
They just keep building on them instead of taking that couple months of a break.
It turns the summer break into a fun learning experience.
When they're having fun and they don't realize that they're just there to learn,
then it's more exciting and they want to do more and they want to learn more.
