Hi! Today I'm going to show you how to replace
the power key and the volume keys
on the Samsung Galaxy S3. You would normally get them in a set of 3.
You get the power key, the volume key and the home key, but generally most people won't
want to change the home key
unless, like me, you've got a broken digitizer
and you're planning to change the color of the phone. Now, it is quite simple that's
probably why
many videos have been made. But normally when you order a screen online or
some sort of a repair kit on eBay, you get a number of tools in a packet such as this
and with it you get a guitar pick. Just take this guitar pick
and wedge it right in between the power key
and the middle housing. Put a little bit of pressure on
and it should pop out. You can just pull it out once it's done. I'll just show you as
an example
and
that's it! You just kind of ease it out,
it pops out, just like that. You can take your new key and can put it back
in, just make sure you get it the right way around
so take note when you take it out, of which way all the
little parts are facing and
just simply pop it back in. Just show you that it still works,
I'll just press it, and it turns right back on.
And you could do the same for the volume keys
Just pop that in and it pops right out
that's it, you stick that back in
Generally, with the volume keys it doesn't really matter which way they go around and that's it!
