Sakura: ......
A few minutes after Reiji has left...
Sakura stands in the kitchen holding a knife in her hand as she stares down at a potato.
Sakura: Uuu...As always, this seems really difficult...
Yes.
While it's true that Sakura is hungry, that wasn't the reason why she made Reiji leave to go shopping.
He had nursed her since she had completely ran out of magic, even pushing himself so far as to fall asleep while watching over her.
That's why she wanted to give her Master a reward in order to keep his spirits high.
Sakura: Carrot...Nn, this size should do.
Trying her best to recall the day she asked Sayuki to help teach her how to cook, Sakura is once again making curry for Reiji...
If she could manage to make it to Reiji's standards, than he would surely praise her.
Sakura: (Sayuki-chan, please lend me your strength...)
All she wants is her beloved Reiji to be happy...
With that in mind, Sakura continues to mentally go through the instructions that Sayuki taught her.
Sakura: If it's Sayuki-chan, I know she'll lend me her strength!
Every time she begins to feel discouraged, Sakura recalls Sayuki's smiling face and than the next instruction.
Before long, a distinctive nostalgic smell fills the house - And in front of Sakura sits a pot full of perfectly cooked curry.
Sakura: I did it!~
Even though she doesn't like spicy foods, Sakura slowly takes a sip to see if it's ready.
Sakura: Mm......Uuu, it burns my tongue!!
However, it tastes exactly as the first time she had this curry.
To Sakura's eyes, it looks like she was able to accomplish her task.
Sakura: ...I'm sure it was like this!
...At any rate, she's completely convinced that she was successful.
Sakura: Eheehee, I'm sure Master will enjoy eating this!
After cleaning the kitchen and putting things in order in a hurry, Sakura sits in a chair and quietly hums to herself while
kicking her leg back and forth.
Sakura: Will Master be happy? Or will he be surprised...Eheehee, my heart's pounding really fast.
With her eyes sparkling like stars, Sakura waits along with the fragrant aroma of dinner for Reiji to return.
Sakura: ...
About an hour has passed since than.
Sakura lays her head down on the table, long since bored of waiting for Reiji to come back from shopping.
Sakura: ...Master, where exactly are you?
Even though only an hour has passed since she began waiting for him, Sakura can't help but wonder if something happened to him,
since her mind is preoccupied with the curry that she made.
Sakura: ...Kheh! It couldn't have been Eyespace could it?!
Looking up immediately in a panic, she sees that the scene outside hasn't changed.
Well, if he hasn't gotten caught up in a battle, why is Reiji taking so long?
Sakura: ...Maybe he saw something that caught his attention and he decided to look into it...
Although she would normally respect his privacy and not cross that line, Sakura can strengthen the "Link" that she and Reiji share.
Even if they cannot exchange magic through their link, both of them ARE connected to each other.
That's why if Sakura feels like it, she can find out where Reiji is at any time.
Sakura: It feels like an emergency, so it can't be helped...
Telling herself so, Sakura reaches out mentally and searches for Reiji's whereabouts.
Sakura: ...Fweh?
Reading the fluctuations in the whirlpool of magic like a gentle breeze, Sakura discovers where Reiji is.
He's currently at Starlight Academy.
Sakura: Why is he at school at this time?
Although Sakura shakes her head in confusion, she ignores the doubt in her mind as a seed of annoyance sprouts inside of her.
(Besides, there's no reason for him to be there right now.)
Sakura: GEEZ! Master, I went to trouble of making dinner for you, and you're messing around?!
Puffing her cheeks out like a squirrel with it's face full of nuts, Sakura stands up with a sulky expression.
Sakura: Good grief, how could he get sidetracked like that.
Looking up at the clock again, she sees exactly how much time has passed since Reiji left.
Sakura: Muuu~ Now the curry that I went to the trouble to make has gotten all cold.
Sakura: Alright, than I'm just going to have to drag him back!
Sakura: To keep a good girl like me waiting for him to come back...Master is such a troublesome Master.
Sakura: ...Eheehee. I want Master to hurry up and come back so that he can eat the curry I made and praise me for it.
And so, tired of waiting for Reiji at last, Sakura skips outside and heads for the school.
Her feelings of expectation build as she continues to imagine Reiji's smiling face.
