From Malaaloula, the nuns assure in the conversation their safety and that they left from the dayr because of the heavy shelling Maaloula was subjected to. The nuns say they will be let go in two days
We know all the people are worried about us and this is something that makes our heart big.
But on our departure from the dayr we truly left because they were telling us there would be intense shelling and that we might get hurt and for our own safety we have to abandon the dayr
We left and we were following what happened and the shelling and whatnot.
May Allah keep everyone safe
"There was shelling when you first left or in the area you first came to?"
Yes as soon as we left there was very intense shelling the cars speed was unbelievable until we crossed the distance (away from the shelling)
And we made it to the place they brought us to.
And can't really say anything except may Allah bless them for this great service that they performed
nd we thank those who put them up to this may their goodness and kindness increase. Food, water.
Some people said you were in a cave or in the street or that we harmed you or that one of the nuns was killed?
No, no, no.
These things did not happen. And here are our number 16... 13 nuns and 3 civilians
Here we are all present we are sitting in a very beautiful villa (smiles) and we came to it and now we are leaving it in 2 days."
Going?
Laughter
There is shelling on sacred places. The mosques, the churches, sacred places
We left because of the intensity of the shelling.
Would anyone like to put a word forward? To your relative or such? Would you like to say anything to your loved ones or people who are waiting for you?
I would like to say to my family in two days they are going to let us go we are safe. (Translation should not indicate they are held against their will).
Can we say about you that you are kidnapped or being held prisoners?"
No, no. They just gave us a safe place because there was some battles
So now you guys have rested from the shelling?
The treatment... we really felt safe with them we are grateful to the sisters who treated us well and they brought us from the dayr from under the shelling and the attacks
We were forced to leave the dayr and these people and made sure we were safe and
we are very happy with them and may Allah bless them and stop all this
InaudibleÉ. Why did you say that?É Inaudible
They want to pray for the youths in name but to keep them safe... Go ahead.
May Allah keep them safe and protect them. We did not see from them except the best treatment. And protect the youths that.
And now we have from Beirut some writer...
