ANDREA COOTE: Quite honestly it’s as simple as a frontbencher sits on the front bench.
If you go into the Parliament you can see the seats that are around the front, they
are the front benches and you can see the seats at the back which are the back benches.
Now the front benches are comprised of the Ministers on the government side and the Shadow
Ministers on the opposition side. And the back benchers literally sit at the back bench
and contribute to speeches and concerns and the parliamentary process, but it’s the
frontbenchers that really make many of the decisions
