Hello, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to set your table for Thanksgiving day dinner. Now we talked about whether you're gonna have salad and dessert courses as well as you're main dinner. But what it you're going to have soup with your dinner as well. You'll still have your plate right in the center of your place setting, but you'll also want a soup bowl. Now the soup bowl can be set on the plate when you're getting ready to set the table, or it can be left off until later. This is where you need to decide if you're gonna have several courses or not, because you're going to end up with a very cluttered table if you have your soup and salad and main dish all in one. It's really important, you're going to definitely need a soup bowl if you're gonna have soup. Unlike salad which can be placed on the edge of the plate, the soup is not going to work on a plate at all, you'll need a separate bowl for it. So decide whether or not you want a soup dish and also consider what other dishes you have for your Thanksgiving dinner before deciding on the soup, because you don't want to have too many plates setting around in a place setting.
