Is it good to juice while pregnant?
It is certainly better to drink juice than cola or coffee when you are pregnant.
I meant to ask if it is better to drink juice to maintain your weight.
If you throw up everything you eat, juicing is a good way to stay hydrated. However, you
shouldn't be trying to juice to lose weight while pregnant.
I don't want to gain 50 pounds with this pregnancy.
Starving yourself risks harming the baby via malnutrition.
I'm drinking several glasses of fresh fruit juice and vegetable juice a day. How could
the baby get malnutrition?
Insufficient protein while the brain is developing leads to mental retardation.
I thought retarded was a bad word.
Here's another way of looking at it. It is retarded to permanently shave IQ points off
your kid because you want to go on a health kick.
There are people going vegan while pregnant. Or raw.
The raw diet may not give the two of you enough calories to thrive.
But juicing is good when you aren't pregnant.
Look. You can juice your way to your pre-baby weight and get back in your skinny jeans after
you have the baby, assuming you aren't nursing.
But not right now.
You could juice it up by making fruit smoothies and various juices in the morning so that
morning sickness doesn't slow you down. And make juice drinks to enjoy all day long, but
don't forget to eat a sensible diet.
You sound like one of those Slimfast commercials.
You can drink juice, but you shouldn't try living off it while pregnant.
Even if I can't keep food down?
If your morning sickness is that bad, you don't need juice, you need a doctor.
I already see an OBGYN.
If you can't keep solids down, that's a rare form of morning sickness that can land you
in the hospital. And erode your teeth so badly you could lose them.
Fine. I'll see the doctor about it now so I don't have to see the dentist later.
