My name is Taylor Metz I’m in sales at Perficient I work with our customers to help them define
their business needs, put together the appropriate scope of an implementation, work closely with
them to drive for execution of those documents as quickly as possible so I can hand them
over to the real rock stars who are our delivery team. I also have the opportunity to work
very closely with the Salesforce account executives. Another important skill to help close deals
at Perficient is the ability to take a fixed set of sales tools, artifacts, people on the
Perficient team that I can use and bring into sales deals and kind of recombine those in
creative ways to respond to each customers very specific needs from us. So when Clear
Task was acquired by Perficient one thing that was an immediate advantage in my sales
cycles was the ability to bring in folks from other teams to respond to my customers’
needs that might be peripheral to the core Salesforce implementation. I’ve had the
opportunity to work with our world class user design team to bring them on they really wow
our customers. I’ve been able to reach out to our middleware integration team and bring
in cast iron folks to help close a deal where we needed and integration with Netsuite. And
I’m also working on joint deals with folks who are implementing SharePoint and Salesforce
at the same customer. My favorite thing about my role is that it’s different every day
it’s really exciting to crisscross the bay area meeting with some of the most innovative
companies in their spaces. What makes my role really is the people on our delivery team
the product that I’m selling is people and I have no problem singing their praises. I
think the butcher block table in our kitchen is a really a great symbol of our culture
at Perficient. At any time you could find the whole company squeezed around eating catered
in lunch, you might find several folks commiserating at the end of the day over beers, you might
find a happy hour going on, and often in the middle of the day you’ll find folks who
have gravitated to that space to work collaboratively together it really kind of symbolizes the
family atmosphere. We work hard at Perficient but we also play hard there are a lot of different
events that bring back great memories one of my favorites was sumo wrestling there’s
nothing better to get your weekly frustration out than to put on a huge blow up sumo suit
and take down your coworkers. I also love karaoke nights it’s a great way to learn
something new about the talents of your coworkers.
