How to lose weight for a wedding? People ask me this all the time. Hi, my name is Jani
Roberts, and I'm a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, and also a graduate of the American
Academy of Nutrition. You know, weddings are a great motivator. I meet so many woman who
come up to me, and want to join group trainings, boot camps, all kinds of different programs,
to get ready for that special day. So here's some suggestions, and I know you can accomplish
whatever you'd like to, it's going to be a beautiful wedding. First of all, who are you
losing the weight for? Do you really want to lose the weight, or are you actually comfortable
in your own skin? That's the first question. Because if you're not doing it for you, you're
going to probably be pretty miserable through the whole process, so think about that. Of
course I want you to be fit, so exercising a few times a week, is going to be part of
your lifestyle anyway. But if you're really going to put yourself through, like say, a
6 to 8 hardcore training period, do it for you, do it because you want to do it, and
it'll all work out. Second of all, it's just that, join a group, it the best way. As a
personal trainer, I'm always running programs for people who are getting married, all different
special occasions, maybe they're going on a second honeymoon, sometimes I'll do it also
for the mother of the brides, and we all get together and have a great time. But make it
fun, and make it social. Check out some of the gyms in your neighborhood, see if they
offer special, like bridal boot camp, these are a lot of fun. You have all of these other
brides that are getting ready to get married, you have all of that in common, so it's really,
really key. In addition, you're definitely going to want to look at how you're eating,
this is going to make a big, big difference. And besides, you're starting a new life, so
why not start a new lifestyle at the same time. You can definitely lose the weight you
want to, and get ready for that wedding. Hi, I'm Jani Roberts, thanks for joining.
