Jessica Franklin: This is the TV lounge that we have in the new Newing buildings. And it
has a great flatscreen TV. This is our gigantic laundry room. It’s gigantic to me because
the old buildings only had about 6 washing machines and 6 dryers. So this, I never have
a problem getting a washing machine. It’s fairly neat and there’s a table to fold
your clothes on. Bingham has two study lounges on each floor. The newer buildings will have
one of these on each floor, which is more than enough space. I call it an open suite
setting because if you notice if you want to turn around and look at the floor, there’s
dark carpet and light carpet. The dark carpet shows what rooms are connected and these floors
are co-ed, but the connecting rooms are the same gender. Why call it open suite? There’s
no common room. The whole building is your common room. But you have one bathroom that
has a sink and a shower and one bathroom that has a sink and a toilet, so it’s also good
because it’s separate. I love my room. Me and my roommate decorated it. One of the great
things I like about this furniture is, first of all, it’s more warm than the other communities
have and you get two desks, two beds, like everything your own. I thought that was going
to be an issue that you have a wardrobe rather than a closet attached to the building but
it’s so much more; it comes with a drawer. I think the high ceilings are great too you
feel like you have more breathing room.
