Welcome to Bounce Learning Kids TV.
In this video, we will be explaining how to use some of the unique Visual Learning Resources
from BounceLearningKids.com. Today, we are going to be concentrating on
Literacy and we're going to be looking at the Vowels & Consonants chart.
The very words vowel and consonant are difficult words to understand for young children that
are at the age that they are learning the difference between these types of letters.
As such, trying to explain vowels and consonants can often result in confusion and misunderstanding,
that can be difficult to correct later on. In this special chart, the concept of what
is a vowel, and what is a consonant, is laid out in a stunningly obvious and intuitive
way, that leaves absolutely no room for confusion. Your child or student will look at this chart
and instantly get that light-bulb moment. We can see very clearly from this chart, which
letters are vowels, at the top of the chart, and which letters are consonants, at the bottom
of the chart. Since the yellow and blue sections appear
to fit snugly together, like pieces of a jigsaw, this also clearly illustrates that a letter
must be either a vowel or a consonant and that there are no other options.
Side A of this chart, shows all lower-case letters, but if we turn over to side B, we
can see the exact same design but with all upper-case letters.
Just having this chart handy, and allowing your child or student to look at it, will
already be going a long way towards them having a good understanding of this key literacy
concept -- and they won't even know it. These and many other quality Visual Learning
Resources are available on our web-site. Give your child a head-start!
Order now! That's all for today.
