I have lived in these flats for two weeks,
I have never lived in such a comfortable place in my life. Every
previous place was not accessible. This is a very very
accessible place. Everything is suitable for me and
accessible.
For disabled people, everyday activities
when
when the place is not accessible, make's it very difficult.
I feel - I feel happy because I can easily go out
before it would take me too..
get out of my flat room
about half an hour,
and it was very tiring. In the previous place I couldn't use
the kitchen, because it
was not accessible to me. I
I couldn't get in on my wheelchair, now I can
cook for myself, wash dishes in the kitchen.
The bathroom is
a very important place for me because, i need to..I have problems with..
with my heart. I often need to use the bathroom shower.
It has a special chair that I can easily take a shower with..With..
nobody's help. It's perfect for me
and not that
humiliating for when I need someone's help.
The right switch is set on a wheelchair users
level, it's not too high.
I can reach it
and small adaptation - like for example, there are two switches for the hall
that i can uh...
that I don't
have to turn off the light from in the hall..I can switch off
uh... The light across the hall from near
my bed.
I like reading and uh..
using the
switch near my bed is very comfortable.
They've given me my independence and uh..
that feeling of safety.
I have a problem with a little
depression but it makes me..you know..that I feel better.
I'm very happy uh... When I recieved the letter..from One Housing group that I
that I will get a flat..I couldn't believe it!
I was thinking that maybe it was a dream.
Even when I was
signing the
tenancy agreement, I was a little shocked. I couldn't...
I couldn't risk anything..
I'm still thinking this is a dream.
