honduran police aided by u_s_ despite desk wont fierce
now that's the title of the article and that caught my eye and then i read about
it and the article wasn't satisfying so i had to do some more research on my own
and i'll get to that a second
but the u_s_ state department which spends millions of taxpayer dollars a
year on the honduran national police
has but sure congress that money only goes to specifically that'd untrained
units
they don't operate under the direction permission
of a police chief
uh... once accused of extra judicial killings and social cleansing
his means genocide and ***
of the decency press has found that all police units
are under the control of director general
juancarlos bonita
his nickname is the tiger
that's the guy who's been doing this social cleansing
and in two thousand and two he was accused of three actually the usual
killings
and links to eleven more deaths and disappearances
he was tried on one killing antiquated the rest of the cases we're never fully
investigated
so i was very nice and i think it will first of all why we give money to
honduras
that seemed like super rated to me
and seem to make no sense and the article didn't specify it
but it did specify we were giving money to this guy
to ended up being who was doing social cleansing
and it was the head of the the police over there
so i tried to find out why the u_s_ gives money to honduras but the only
answer i fram
was for quote
development assistance
which i just simply don't believe
i look and doing secular talk radio the *** whiskey so this is my small
business i give you some development assistance party any good thing
now of course not because they don't have a vested interest in me doing well
so why would have a vested interest in honduras
it seems randomness allright
well let me read a history of honduras it becomes clear so
friction that with america started back in two thousand seven and two thousand
eight
when in our house to president menu wells ally of folic hugo chavez's old
alternatives to free trade agreements
and started to take more progressive positions
such positions including a minimum wage increases for honduran workers in cheeky
has plants making chiquita angry saying it would cut into their profits
so in june two thousand and nine
on the orders of the supreme court the honduran army
stormed the president's residence and detain the president sending him out of
the country
then in november two thousand nine
uh... a president who was very pro that cool which overthrew the popular
president who is doing a progressive reforms
uh... was collected the guy's name is pet they lobo
he's elected with fifty five percent of vote
even though there was an outcry that the election was a raid and stolen
so come to find out when you dug a little beaver
at a low blow received a tremendous amount of money from the u_s_ and is
incredibly contour corporate interests
essentially let's touch a key to run wild and whoever they want
and he's in favor of right wing policies
basically only exist
to favor american corporations which have set up shop in that area
so do you get this our explain uh... it might not sound as uh... disastrous
the way i waited out here
let me put it in a nutshell for you
on various had democratic reforms that they want to increase their quantity or
quality of life in their standard of living
so they did they raise the minimum wage in they were making
changes like that
and by the u_s_ government paid
uh... this guy who had done social cleansing in the past again i'll tell
you his name
uh... juan carlos bonilla was that the police department
date paying the police department to overthrow the democratically elected
government
today and prop up somebody was trying to our interests
i mean is it just me or is that quite often most people should govern your
life but we believe in freedom in a mark c
if we believe in democracy
the guy who was democratically elected
elected
we wouldn't have funded the police to overthrow him
but the thing we don't care about freedom in democracy is the same line
dad's duped over republicans and democrats alike over the years
all this *** window overseas whether it be for made like to honduras
or invading afghanistan a rack
if you actually think it's uh... because we're so benevolent
and we're so altruistic and we just want to spread our goodness and help out
people are the kinds of arts
i got a bridge to sell you
is a reality it's about our corporate interests
and in reality it's about getting all risk even if that means supporting
people who did social cleansing and genocide
