Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and today I'm giving you some tips on baby proof
your kitchen. We've moved on to electrical outlets. We are going to go ahead and install
these very simple plugs. You just plug this right into an outlet. Then to get it out,
you have to push in 3 different spots, on both sides and then on the top, in order for
it to release out of the outlet. This is a much better choice than the ones that you
used to just plug in and be able to pull out. Again, throughout time, children have proven
to be able to actually get those off. We're just going to go ahead and put that in like
that. You actually have to push to get it into the outlet. It's very safe and secure
in there. Nobody's going to be able to get it out without pressing all 3 of the sides.
Just be sure that it's pushed all the way and completely engaged when you're installing
it. It's a great option. Again, if you want to go ahead an put on the plate where you
actually have to slide the slide over to plug in, that's also another good option. You are
going to have to drill a couple of holes for that because most outlets are connected to
wall with just one screw in the middle. That actually requires a top and bottom screw.
