In this order guide video, we're going to show you how to use Bar-i's order guide to
stream line your ordering process. The idea is that we can base our orders on exact measures
of what we have in stock, but also on a history of what we've been using so that we can see
if our current stock is below a par level based on how many day's worth we need to have
in stock.
When the order guide opens, it's going to open up on this order list tab which is a
complete list of what you need to order, organized by the distributor. I'm going to start by
showing you on the all products tab how this works for a particular product.
So using Bud Light bottle as an example, we have a count today of 10.7 and the price per
case is $20.95, so we have 224 dollars on hand and then I'm going to take a second to
explain where a par of 16.5 cases is coming from. So the software is going look back five
cycles and see exactly how many cases of Bud Light we were using everyday and then by default
we use a 14 day par, so it's going to project what 14 days worth of Bud Light is. In this
case for this bar it's 16.5 cases and the reason we're using a 14 day par is because
that's the exact amount we use every 14 days so that's a conservative amount to use if
you're doing weekly orders. We can actually change that on the next page that I'll show
you in a second.
So based on that 16.5 case par, we're short 5.8 cases so the suggested order is going
to be 6. If we now come over to the order list tab, we can see how we can flex those
par aims in order to make up an order which is more suited to your bar. So we start with
the defaults being 10 for draft and 14 for everything else, and then if I input a 99
day par for Draft Beer, we'll see when I press enter here, the list will update. Of course
that would mean that we would dreadfully over order, so we'll put this back to 10.
Perhaps for liquor, another thing we can do is flex liquor if we have a big week coming
up so we want to have three weeks worth in stock. Again the list will update. Or another
trick is we can use this par minimum, for instance if we want to have at least one bottle
of liquor in stock. We can do that or if we want to have at least half a keg of every
beer, we can add that. Again, the order list will update and what you'll have here is a
list of what you need to order, but it's handily organized by the distributor to make your
ordering process quick and easy.
Thank you once again for watching.
