We started Bridgepoint Education ten years ago,
with the goal of opening life-changing opportunities of higher education to a
population
whose educational needs were not being met.
We believe that our alliance between Ashford University and
Forbes Media to create the Forbes School of Business
is the latest step in our journey.
Being involved in education with professionals like those at
Ashford University
and now the Ford School of Business, is an opportunity for us
to help educate students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to get
this kind of education.
We think it's a natural extension for Forbes Media.
It's about information. It's about knowledge.
And we've been doing this for ninety six years
and we think this is a natural way to go.
In today's specialized world, with
enormously sophisticated content,
leadership I think will depend upon an MBA.
And for someone to say I have an MBA from the Forbes School of Business,
I think will be a door opener and a real sign that
they've got a great degree.
It helps further brand Ashford University in particular,
this school of business. And it imparts to
prospective students the quality of the university as well as the school.
And it also is an opportunity to provide
greater business content
at both the undergraduate and graduate level of our business students
in terms of financial acumen, we can provide that to all of our students.
We're excited with this partnership.
We want to move ahead. We think it's gonna enable hundreds of thousands of people in the
years ahead to have a chance to move ahead and realize their potential. We all know-
we're not naive-
there are plenty of setbacks when you go out in the real world. It's not an
easy place.
But it's a place that can be navigated better. We have the tools
with which to do it. Thank you.
