Hi this is Scott Thompson from expertvillage.com and today I'm going to demonstrate a way to
build a ocean in a bottle and demonstrate that some solutions just do not mix. If you
go to the store you can see a good example of solutions that don't mix well on the shelves
of a grocery store. Here is one: it is some kind of salad dressing. It's got the oil on
the top and some kind of water base solution on the bottom that has all the spices, or
whatever happens to be in this product. It shows how the two do not mix; and that is
really what we are going to be building today, the same kind of effect. If you invest some
energy in that, you can actually get the two substances to mix temporarily, and then it
takes the form of motion. By setting this out to the side, you would see a little later
on how the two end up separating once again.
