This video shows how to reset a user's Domino ID Vault password with ID Manager.
Please note that users that create Reset Domino ID Vault password requests in ID Manager only need reader access to the user's
person document to successfully create a request.
To start, click on the "Reset A User's Domino ID Vault Password" button.
Select the Profile To Use. This is a document that provides a number of default values for ID Manager.
Select the name of the user that you want to reset the Domino ID Vault password for.
Press the Save and Close button and you're done.
Normally, ID Manager would automatically process this request after it is saved and closed, but for this demo, I'm going to process
this request manually.
Domino ID Vault passwords must be reset by a server, so unlike other ID Manager requests, there is no button here that can be pressed to
reset the password immediately. However, just like all of the other ID Manager requests, its very easy to configure ID Manager to automatically
process a request immediately after it is saved and closed.
For this demo, I'm going to process this request by pressing the "Run Reset Domino ID Vault Password Agent" button from the approved view.
This request is complete. The user's Domino ID Vault password has been reset by ID Manager.
Let's take a look at the security events document to verify that this was done.
Here you can see that the ID Vault password has been reset.
