Time for the rematch against Shin Akuma! This time, it's best 2 out of 3 instead of the 3 out of 5 like last time.
Again, to fight Shin Akuma, you must win every round and have EXACTLY 3 perfects, no more, no less.
I think the correct pronunciation of his name as SHEEN AH-ku-ma as opposed to SHIN Uh-KU-ma.
Whichever character you choose to fight him as, you'll want to throw a lot of fireballs to both keep him at bay and cancel his own.
You'll build up your super meter in the process as well.
However, you should only throw projectiles when he is on the other side of the screen, in the air jumping away from you, or when he is getting up after being knocked down.
If you throw a fireball when he's too close, he'll usually throw a super fireball, like around 2:24
Dizzying Shin Akuma is not an easy feat. However, depending on your position depends on when you should attack or retreat.
If you are close or can get close enough to him before he gets up, attack with a super or special move JUST BEFORE he fully gets up.
You need precise timing because he is only dizzy for literally an instant.
It is important to be patient against Shin Akuma and wait for the right moments to strike.
A great strategy to use is when he uses a short-ranged teleport and then strike him just as he stops, as he is completely vulnerable for one frame. Foot sweeps work pretty well on him when he does that.
Another great strategy to use is to keep him at bay with fireballs until he starts walking towards you. Then when he is just barely in range, attack with like a Dragon Punch or similar move.
Damn it...
Fortunately, if you get dizzy, he doesn't seem to take full advantage and like use a super move on you.
Aww, darn.
Normally I would use super fireballs, but Akuma's requires two 180 degree motions on the ground to do it and I usually F it up.
Time to finish this!!
Wow, didn't think I could throw him there.
And usually he gets a Tech Bonus to half the damage.
It's usually best only to use level 1 super moves on him as he tends to teleport if you mistime it.
Booyah!!!
And there you go. But he has still won more rounds in total so far. Next time, watch me fight him as another Ansatsuken user: Ken!!
