Hi guys, I've been super happy this week because I was lucky enough to get my hands on one
of the world's best headphones. The new Sennheiser HD 800 S. This is the new and improved version
of the HD 800 that was released back in 2009. The HD 800 S is currently available but it
is still difficult to get your hands on one of them. Today I will be unboxing the HD800S
and I will share my experience with you guys in 4K. You have seen the box by now so let's
show you what else is inside. If you open the box you will find another box. But this
one looks a whole lot better. The quality of this box alone is impressive so I wonder
what the inside will look like. Are you ready for this? Look at the quality. The HD800 S
really looks like the ultimate headphones. This one has a lot more black compared to
the silver finish of the old HD 800. The matt black finish makes the HD 800 S look a lot
better. The cable looks very nice as well and I like the inside of the box. I don't
think that I will be closing this box ever again. Before we take a closer look at the
headphones, let’s see what else is inside. The first thing that you will notice is this
little pouch. In here you find a USB stick from Sennheiser and you will find a balanced
connection cable with an XLR-4 connector. The other cable that comes with the HD 800
S is the one that you see at the bottom. This is a connection cable with a 6.3mm or ¼ inch
stereo jack plug. As you can see, these cables are pretty long. Besides these cables you'll
find a manual and on the back of the manual we will find a microfiber cloth. Let's take
a closer look at the HD800S, because that's what it's all about isn't it? I'll start at
the top. On the headband you will see the Sennheiser logo together with the serial number.
This one is number 1268. What I like about this headband is that they designed these
elegant markings so that you can easily adjust the size. The headbands looks and feels very
comfortable and it is made from metal. Check out these enormous ear cups. How great is
that? I don't think anyone's ears will be touching these ear cups while they are wearing
it, unless your name is Spock of course. But in that case you might have a bigger issue.
Sennheiser made these ear cups big for acoustic and stylish reasons. It has a 56-mm sound
transducer and it is the largest ever used in dynamic headphones. The sound waves will
come to your ear at a slight angle to create a very natural and spatial listening experience.
The HD800S sounds very neutral. It has a frequency response of 4 until 51.000 Hz and it has an
impedance of 300 ohm. Without the cable it weighs 330 grams. If you want to see the detailed
specifications list then please check out the video description. This was FOG of GAMING,
don’t forget to like the video and from now on I will hear you from miles away on
the battlefield.
