The RIT campus is full of traditions. Whether its Brick City Homecoming, FreezeFest,
SpringFest
or even just petting the tiger's tummy for good luck before test. That explains my grades..
My favorite,
alright, my favorite is definitely far and away
FreezeFest
and I love
uh... Chocolate on Ice that goes around then as well. That's one of my favorite
traditions
So nevermind the silly story behind this pool,
we have a cool tradition too. Two years ago,
when our hockey team made it to the Frozen Four, Wooo!
We dyed the fountain orange to celebrate.
Then last year to commemorate the start of Spirit Friday, where you gotta wear your orange and brown..this has no orange and brown in it.
We dyed it orange again.
LAN parties
EGS sanctioned, quarterly LAN parties are my favorite.
Because I get to win so many things. That's why.
I've one
cases and graphic cards. I've won huge things that were $80
I like video games and EGS.
Winning too. And the crushing your opponents.
I really like Imagine RIT
it's just a lot of different things coming together in on day
on a college and there's 30,000 people on campus
its just a lot of fun.
So this is one of the biggest traditions on campus the Greek Rock. Every night as soon as the sun goes down, different organizations will
clamor over it and try to paint it with their colors.
When Maroon 5 came for their concert. Adam Levineeee! Yes. He's hot.
You might find installation art that pops up all over campus.
Art kids.
Greek week chariot race is always my favorite to watch
and build.
Cause its fun.
and sometimes risky dangerous but it makes it even better What are you most excited for for
FreezeFest? Puppy fest all the way. Puppy Fest! It's the best event.
My favorite part of SpringFest is Global Village Takeover. There's gonna be a pizza eating contest with
all the dining services. To see who makes the best pizza.
Uh, mine is gonna be the Powder
Puff football game and grill-off
going on at the same time. Come on, who doesn't want to see guys try to be cheerleaders and girls try to be football players
My favorite part is that Spring Fest is
gonna all over campus this year. In Colony,
Global Village, SAU, in the dorms. And there's gonna be free food and free stuff.
I don't know if Java's is a tradition or an addiction
I don't know if you're
addicted to uh...
Fourbucks like I like to call it, but this will be
your new home. Its beautiful.
Its a bright spot in the middle of winter quarter.
Its young still. So I feel like its still
moving and evolving and I think that allows
students to get involved with it.
So that's why I would say FreezeFest is my favorite.
We went to NACA last year
which is the National
Association for
Campus Activities. They announced they were going to start this
competition for best campus tradition.
And we looked at each other and were like "Wow, FreezeFest is definitely it."
It was amazing. We did all this footage. So we just compiled a video
and sent it in.
And we
heard back in January, that we're one of the finalists.
There were three finalists, us
against, UNLV
and USC. Both of those schools have
fifty thousand people
much larger than us
much bigger name, so we had some
tough competition.
and we're really won us the award was how extensive FreezeFrest is. Its all over campus. You can't get away from it.
Its so unique that it has to be enjoyable.
Cause its so unexpected and no other campus does it.
Hence why we won the award.
So now we have a
thousand dollars from NACA to put toward
FreezeFest next year.
Yes, Jim Gaffigan. That was my favorite event. He was hysterical
it was FreezeFest last year. Yeah, so he was awesome.
Uhmm...
Jim Gaffigan.
Jim Gaffigan by far and away. There ya go.
There's an answer
