Hi... I'm Paul And in this short video I am going to demonstrate
how easy it is to develop reports using Infor Q&A for Proactis.
Most of you will be familiar with using Q&A over SunSystems so it is a natural step to
extend that to include Proactis. Let's start by showing how easy it is to extract
data using Q&A. We are going to create a report listing orders
we are holding in Proactis. And right away you can see that we now have
two data source, both SunSystems and Proactis. Q&A is easy to use in part because it presents
data in terms we can understand. For the purpose of this report we select Order Number and
Date We'll also need an order value. And we would
like some analysis attached to our orders... so we select Department and Expense.
Now... let's explore the data a little using Cube Analysis. Here we can slice and dice
data. I am going to drag Expense Description to
the Row... and Department Description to the Header.
Now let's drill down on the Admin department's spend on stationary... to reveal transaction
detail. So Q&A is a great tool for developing ad hoc
queries. But it can also be used to develop parameter driven reporting packs that are
simply refreshed as and when you need them. Here's an example of a reporting pack.
In this example we have a range of reports that includes data from both purchasing and
expenses modules. The Order Listing report, for example, is
the list of orders by supplier for a given period
The Order Invoice Comparison report would highlight any variance between the value ordered
and the value invoiced. Hopefully by now you are starting to think
of ways in which Q&A could work for your organisation. If you would like to learn more, please give
me a call or fill out the online enquiry form. Thanks for watching
