Hey guys, here is cadu1990
And I'm here to show you some things
about the new mobs from 1.8 to Pre 2 1.9
Sprjunior has already reviewed about the snow golems,
so I'll just add some extra information
For example, you can't make them using pistons
Let me show you...
See?
Another thing, just a bonus, the pumpkin
is just a mask, not their real face.
I'm gonna have to change the texture, just a sec
Damn, where's the pumpkin...
Here. This is the pumpkin, invisible now.
Look, what a nice fellow!
Another new thing, is mob breeding.
You can breed mooshrooms, cows, sheeps, chickens, pigs
There are no mobs here, just my golem, hopping over there...
But there's a giant mushroom island over there...
I'm putting the seed of this map for you, check it out.
Oh, what a joy...
Brake, brake, brake, brake, ops
Here in this new biome the grass is different, called mycelium
They are all swimming, damn...
Let's go look over there
Now wheat have a interesting effect, when you hold it, mobs follow you.
The distance could be even 16 blocks away,
You use the wheat on the mob, and it enters "love mode".
Use on two, they will stay close, and there you go, a new one!
The miracle of life...
A curious thing, you can breed normal cows with mooshrooms
When you shear a mooshroom, it turns into a cow.
That explosion is the same effect of the creeper, so it's like that due to the texture pack.
When they breed, the new one can be of either species. It's random.
They drop leather and steak, like a ordinary cow.
And if you "milk" it, using a bowl, not a bucket, you get stew.
Well, now the silverfish, a mob that spawns from rocks.
The block looks like a normal stone, but when you break it, a surprise!
Remember that sometimes more than one block containing a silverfish can be together.
If you attack one, all the others will pop out and swarm you.
Let's do this
FAIL
Oh yeah, it's on peaceful. Let's put on easy, n00b.
Here it is, disgusting...
Well, didn't work. Again.
If you kill in one hit, the others don't spawn. Good to know.
Look they swarm and try to KILL you! Kill them, kill them all!
No drops...
Great, now some changes in the enderman
If you don't know about him, he attacks only when you look at him
Here he comes, but I'm in creative now, so no worries.
When you shoot him, he teleports away!
You can't hit him with arrows anymore.
Even more, now he teleports away from water.
After the water teleportation, he will be passive again.
Now it takes 4 hits with a diamond sword to kill him.
His drops, the ender pearls, when thrown, teleports you to where it hits.
You get two and a half hearts damage
Now the golden apples give you a 30 seconds regeneration buff,
so you eat one, and in combination with the pearls, makes you a jumper!
Oh no, I'm gonna be underwater
Up, up, up, up, up, up... UP!
I think I'm gonna die
Now I'll show the NPCs, which live in the before vacant villages.
They look like this, strange nose, one big eyebrow, big bald head, joined hands.
Mostly spawn indoors, and leave when you open the door
There are 6 different classes, this one with brown coat is the farmer.
More farmers...
In the church lives the priest, with purple coat.
This one, with black apron, is the blacksmith
And here's the librarian, with white coat.
There is also the villager, with green coat, and the butcher, with white apron.
In my opinion, they are very ugly, so I changed the texture to make them more "human".
Gonna change the texture pack now
Look, no big nose, and two eyebrows
The link of the download of the texture pack is in the description
They just wander around, and the aggressive mobs don't see them.
Now I'll show the cave spiders, already shown in one of the videos.
Here's a spawner, found in abandoned mines.
You can see at distance, and they have a lot of cobwebs around.
On SMP, all spawners have a pig inside.
The only exception now is this one, it shows the cave spider inside
And here's the spider. It's smaller, blue, and poisonous
You can't see here because I'm in creative mode, but it turns your hearts
into yellow, and your health goes down depending on the difficulty level.
In the last video, made by Sprjunior, you can see that.
They drop strings and spider eyes, just like a normal spider.
Spider eyes are a new item.
If you mix spider eyes, brown mushroom and sugar, you craft fermented spider eyes.
Now I'm in the Nether to show some of the new stuff in here.
First the zombie pigmen.
Now they drop rotten flesh.
There's a new drop too, but today it's not my lucky day
The drop is this, gold nugget.
You can craft like this, using 9 nuggets to make a ingot.
Oh look, just what I needed
Nether's own slime, the Magma Cube.
Spawn in various sizes, like the slime.
When he jumps, you can see his magma core, cool huh?
I don't know if I doing something wrong, but I think they should drop...
Wow, that's ankward, I thought they drop magma cream, but now I remember it's crafted...
Also, they don't drown nor burn in magma, but can drown in water.
Now let's look for more.
Over there, a ghast.
They have a new drop, ghast tear.
No use so far, but it will be a potion ingredient, we think.
Now let's find a stronghold.
Found one. And look the creatures. A very hard to fight mob, the Blaze.
He flies, shoot you three fireballs, and set you on fire, unless you are on creative, like me right now.
You cannot block with you sword.
Let's kill it, to check the drops.
Nothing, great...
Usually in these strongholds, you can find blaze spawners
Let's explore a little, enjoy the tour. I love these new nether strongholds.
Nice, a lava well
I'm gonna cut, and return when I found a new blaze.
Well, I searched far and wide, and no blazes...
So let's skip, the blazes drop one or none blaze rods, like these.
You can craft like this. One blaze rod crafts two blaze powders.
You mix blaze powder with slime balls, and you get that item, magma cream.
Probably, I mean, almost certain it will be potion ingredient as well.
That's it then. I think I showed everything I planned...
