Another, a type of bend I like to do with, a within my technique and my expression of
how I play solo is doing a slow gradual bend coming down. So for example, what I'm going
to do is play like the beginning of the lick and then end it on a nice slow bend which
gives a, you know, your lead playing a nice effect and sometimes compliments a song very
well. Something that's a particularly song like a David Gilmore from Pink Floyd did beautifully.
But I'll be playing a lick like say I'm going to play a, F# Minor pentatonic, I would go,
and instead of physically picking the note I give it a that nice bend effect where it
takes the lick to a whole another atmosphere as opposed to just say just picking the straight
notes. So beginning on the fourteenth fret so on the G, fourteen, sixteen, fourteen on
the B, seventeen on the B and then fourteen and seventeen on the E and then of course
bending that last note. And then bringing it back down to pitch, so I'm going to go,
and bringing it back down without picking it, let it just kind of fade out and it's
a nice effect.
