Hi, this is John Bernard. Welcome to this week’s blog. Management systems really are
the most fundamental way that we can shift culture.
As odd as it may sound, it is the mechanical things, different routines, different expectations,
new roles, those things have more impact on culture than all kinds of behavioral training,
focus on values, all those kinds of things, because they actually deploy behaviors in
new forms, with new expectations, with new roles.
That is what really ultimately shifts culture, is when we do new things, and we do them in
new ways.
I hope you will enjoy this particular column on organizational change relative to management
systems because they are the key to shifting culture.
Thanks for joining me in this series. Next time, I will wrap up with the ten keys to
change that really make a difference in terms of your culture. Thanks. See you next time.
