Lego City!
Excavator transport.
Set number 4203,
contains 305 pieces,
and is recommended for ages 5 through 12.
Looks like to get to make a flatbed.
This is the excavator.
Looks like we get a miner mining for gold.
Got a bolder. Looks like some dynamite.
And this is "Modular Build Easy Start".
So this is going to be a very large set to make.
Yup, so we have modular builds.
So what this is telling us is that we can make the excavator,
the eighteen-wheeler,
looks like the flatbed.
So this is all the various actions that the set does.
Let's open the box.
Lots of pieces.
Bag number one full of bricks and plates.
We get some stickers.
There's part of the flatbed.
One of the instruction manual.
This is instruction manual number "2".
Slightly warped.
Our second bag. Bag number "3".
Another instruction manual.
And out last bag which is number "2".
It looks like is full of various plates, and I see some mini-fig legs.
Nothing else in that box.
So let's get building on the Excavator Transport.
The Excavator Transport all assembled.
In a moment, I'm going to walking through
the minifigures and accessories,
the excavator,
the transporter with trailer.
Let's have a look at the minifigures.
He's got a tool belt, and that is reflective.
The facial expression.
I like the red hat,
and the print work continues on the back.
Here's the second minifigure.
It's got the miner's helmet.
That's one nice helmet.
It's also got a plaid shirt with a tool belt.
Really nice.
You also do get a stick a dynamite,
a pick-ax,
and two boulders.
And these can be opened up.
See what's inside.
You do get four gold studs in each bolder,
and you can replace the top back on.
Now let's have a look at the excavator.
We have the bucket.
It is on a friction pivot.
It also does rotate a full 360
to help move those rocks.
It does roll nice and smooth.
Here's the inside of the cab.
The top can be removed.
I like the rear
and the sides as well.
Now the bucket can be replaced with the drill bit.
Now here's the tricky part.
This will come off here.
I'm not sure if that's its intentions,
but you need this piece here to put on the drill bit.
Set that inside the friction tie like so,
and set it inside the crane.
So now you can fully adjust this arm,
and is flexible to drill into those big boulders
to get that gold.
Really clever idea.
Just the drill bit is really hard to remove.
So that is the excavator.
Let's have a look at the transporter.
The driver's side door does open up
as well as the top of the cab.
You can see we have a steering wheel and a mug.
It appears that it can seat two minifigures side-by-side.
I did put two minifigures but they cannot seat side-by-side,
but it was a nice attempt.
I like the front.
There's suppose to be a license plate and a sticker that goes on the front part of the cab.
I'd choose not to put them on there.
Here's the passenger side entry.
I like the dual axles in the back.
The smokestacks.
Even the lights on the top.
Let's have a look at the trailer.
Nice flatbed.
You get two lights here.
Also I got some spots for the tools.
Here's where the excavator sits for transport.
The rear bumper.
Dual axle as well.
This right here is meant to attach either your drill bit or your bucket.
So I'm going to place the bucket in here.
Snaps in place for transport.
And we can hitch the trailer up to the truck.
And the excavator sits right on this area,
and it does not slide off.
It does roll nice and smooth on a flat surface.
This is one nice rig for the excavator.
Let's have a look the stickers and extra parts.
I didn't put the stickers on my excavator
because I will be reusing the parts.
This is various print work that can be put on your brick.
In addition to the stickers,
you get two extra studs,
an aerial,
three slopes,
one pick-ax,
one tie,
and one Technic connector.
These pieces wouldn't really enhance the transport,
but they can be used for other sets and creations.
This wraps up the review for
the Lego City: Excavator Transport.
Set number 4203,
contains 305 pieces,
and is recommended for ages 5 through 12.
This is a great set
to expand your Lego city,
or to use it for your existing Lego mining theme.
I had fun putting this set together
It was easy to construct with the modular builds.
The only disappointment is that the
drill bit as well as the bucket,
are hard to attach to the excavator,
but you do get a lot of accessories
and the two minifigures.
I like both vehicles.
Everything came out terrific.
This is one great set.
I highly recommend it.
Thank you for watching!
