Blair Umholtz>> It?s been going good. So far it?s just a race against the clock right now.
Teagan Hamblin>> We?re all in here every night until two in the morning at least, waking
up early and then coming in and hitting it again.
Blair Umholtz>> We?ve just got one more week left after Thanksgiving beak to finish the
rest of our garments and finalize those before the actual runway show.
Teagan Hamblin>> I have done two women?s jeans, two women?s tops, two dresses, a jacket and
two men?s jeans and I still have two men?s shirts and then a vest to do as well.
Blair Umholtz>> We?ve basically been patterning, whether it be flat patterning on just the
tables or else draping it onto the actual dress forms. After creating our patterns,
we will then make mock-ups or muslins that we fit to the actual models that we will have
and then after that we make any alterations that we need to take them fit perfectly.
Teagan Hamblin>> We realize that we?re literally doing as one person what a whole company does.
Blair Umholtz>> We just recently went down to the cotton gin and saw some of the different
cotton fields. We also went to Cotton Incorporated was one of our earlier trips when we went
to North Carolina.
Teagan Hamblin>> I learned so much about cotton and the people at Cotton Incorporated were
so awesome. We got to go to a dye house which was really interesting. Different companies
come to them and they basically make the colors for the whole line.
I really had no idea how talented each and everyone was in the class. I really can?t
wait to see the show and everthign finalized.
