All right, the first step to cleaning, break free. We're going to take the break free,
and you can do this in any order necessarily that you want. I prefer to use break free
first, simply because I want this to penetrate to the insides of the firearm. The break free
helps take some of the corrosion that the firearms can get with the metal drying out.
And the longer that you can let the break free sit and penetrate inside these metals,
the better off you are. So, I'd say minimum twenty-five minutes, up to twenty-four hours
that you just let this break free set into the firearm. So, it doesn't necessarily matter
which one of these pieces that you go to first. By habit I just start with the bolt. And here
we go. I take the top of the bolt and I just put a little squirt across this spring. That?s
my recoil spring inside the bolt here. I just kind of rub it in physically with my finger.
Then I put a little spray on the bottom, little spray. And I just come around, and I just
wipe it on the bolt face. I just kind of wipe it around the bolt. And then here we go, I'm
just going to let it sit. Then pick up the mainspring housing. We're going to put a couple
of squirts. And we're just going to physically wipe it down with our fingers. And just liberally
coat all the pieces. You can't do damage by over spraying the break free on the parts
themselves. All right, and then I take the lower receiver, you see right here, here's
your hammer. And we're just going to spray right down the side of it. And here in the
front trigger plunge. We're going to spray inside here, little squirt. Just kind of wipe
it around a little bit. And if you want, if you find that you're cleaning your firearm,
and you notice that you have some pitting or some corrosion. I'm kind of looking for
a piece. You can just kind of use this break free on the outside of the firearm and do
the same thing over. Just wipe it around. And then, the same thing with the bolt. All
right, wiping down the barrel and the upper receiver here. All right, we've got everything
coated. We've got everything, we've got some break free wiped on everything. We're going
to let this sit for about twenty-five minutes.
