Overjoyed (S. Wonder)
The components that make us feel more comfortable while
playing the Clavinova are the keys.
This is called Graded Hammer 3,
because every key has three sensors that make the dynamics happen.
The key doesn't have any springs, but it does have a hammer.
It is used to make a counter-weight to the key itself.
The key must come back into it's starting position
the same way as on a real, acoustic piano.
The keys are made out of natural wood, with synthetic ivory.
The difference between models of the CLP-400 series are the keys' resistance.
The smallest resistance is found on the higher keys, and the biggest resistance on the lower keys,
like on a real piano. But on the CLP-470 and CLP-480 models
each key has it's own weight resistance.
Which is why it is called "Linear Graded Hammer 3"
The pedals are also a very important notice.
They are, too, specially designed to match the feel of the real piano pedals.
It reacts like a real piano pedal: it is a bit harder to push it from the half in.
Everything in the new series was made to immitate a real, acoustic piano.
Yamaha also added a protective panel, which covers the screen and buttons, too.
There is no distinct feeling that you are actually playing a digital piano.
Even the logo is the same as on Yamaha Grand Piano.
Clavinova also has more samples and sounds.
Spain (C. Corea)
Along with the default 38 sounds, like most previous Clavinovas,
there is also one more bank, called XG, and it contains 480 more instruments.
