It's a long journey they've been on
and it's a culmination of that journey.
John and I have been doing assessments throughout the whole 35 days.
It was a difficult one
and we were still deliberating in the car on the way up here
and we decided about 15 minutes before we got to Manchester.
Our job when we started the trip was to find 3 potential players
that could come into the Nike Academy.
This first one will go to someone that I massively respect.
Someone who I think will go on
and have a great career in the game
and that's your captain, Marco Di Lauro.
I am very proud. It is a big step for me to come here
to reach my dreams.
Marco from the day one just stood out.
There was just something about him
having watched him grow over the 35 days,
I think everything that I thought about him has come true.
The magic man Kevin Salazar.
In Kevin Salazar, I honestly think that boy can be anything
and he could definitely be at the top of his tree in his game.
He sees things way way before anyone else does,
he's very aware at what's around him.
My favourite moment was the final games.
I felt like I had the space to receive the ball.
Before I come back to the academy, I might
stay with my family for a few days because I miss them.
Gonzalo Balbi.
Gonzalo is another solid defender like Marco.
If you explain something to him and you tell him
he takes it in. He is a great person to work with.
The Nike Academy is my last opportunity.
I am very happy, it's my dream.
It's the end of the journey if you want it to be
because you can go the other way and say you've had enough now
but that for me is just a get out.
You have to continue to work hard and work harder.
What's my next adventure? Where do I go from here?
If you do that you've got half a chance of succeeding.
