Hey it's Shaunell from Pretty Hair is Fun, and today's hairstyle tutorial is going to
be from Disney's Maleficent. We are going to do Princess Aurora's hairstyle.
This is actually her second hairstyle in the movie.
We are going to teach you how to do this, when she goes into the castle, and finds the
spinning wheel. First, do you want to share your news?
We've lost another tooth! They are jumping ship like crazy!
We'll get started on the hairstyle. To begin this really simple hairstyle,
I've parted her hair down the middle and then I'm going to curl all her hair, before
I start doing the twist back. I've put in heat protectant spray in her hair
and some hairspray, and I will be using a wand to do this.
I will start up here in the front, and just curl the ends.
I will continue curling all of her hair until I am done.
I am almost done, and I'm going to curl these little tiny hairs
up here, just like Aurora's. Do it very carefully......
this finishes off the look.... Now I am done curling, I will let the curls
sit and cool. To do Aurora's second hairstyle, I am going
to section off a part, in front of her ear loosely,
and comb it with my fingers Then I will split it in half evenly,
and then I will start a twist braid. So I will twist both pieces down, and then
twist them UP around each other. I am not adding in hair.
I am not making this tight, I am just twisting it and pulling it to the center of her head.
And then past the center
a bit. I am going to go through her braid and loosen
it up a bit, before I put it in a clear elastic, leaving some curls on the bottom.
Then I am coming to the other side, and do the same thing.
I am combing down the top of her hair with my fingers, not disturbing the curls, to eliminate
the sections. Part off hair in front of her ear
split in half and start twisting it down.
As as you do this, you want to angle the braids down and towards the center.
Keeping it loose, and extending the braids a few inches past the center of her head.
Loosen the braid, and fasten with a clear elastic.
This is so easy and so pretty! Take your two twist braids, comb down the
hair with your fingers. I'm going to cross them over and tie a knot.
Then I'm going to pull these a little bit I'm just making these a little bit fatter.
Alright, she has these two pieces coming down, this is the part where she's going into the
castle, and she finds the spinning wheel, so it's the second half of the movie.
I am going to take the little knot, and get some bobby pins, and secure this in place.
I am going underneath so it doesn't show, and move the hair over it.
Use bobby pins the same color as the hair, and do the same thing on the other side.
I'm going to adjust this elastic, and I will leave in the elastics, to keep in the twist
braid. We are done!
That is the Princess Aurora twist back hairstyle. Let's pull our her little curlicues, and curl
the hairs a touch. Princess Aurora hairstyle from Disney's Maleficent.
