we offer one of the most sophisticated recycling and refuse programs in the
nation.
All single family homes many town homes in Rockville must participate in the
program
if your town home community is exempt you may still be able to opt in to the use of
the wheeled carts
we want to make sure that we all recycle and reuse as much as possible and limit our
refuse to as little as possible.
If you have any questions at all, want to order new recycling and refuse carts, or
want to swap your carts for a different size, called the City Residential

How the select a cart size?
You can choose your cards online,
brown for recycling and gray for refuse.
We have four sizes.
The carts include 32 gallon (about the size of a regular size trash),
can a 48 gallon, a 64 gallon and a 96 gallon.
If you need help deciding ask us.
When you call, also ask us what your recycling and refuse day is.
Every household has once per week refuse, recycling, and yard waste service all on
the same day.
You can have to two carts for recycling and two for refuse.
There's no additional charge outside of your recycling and refuse fee
for carts regardless of size.
Replacing a damaged cart or exchanging the cart for another size is also included.
Please note that there is no collection and seven federal holidays:
New Year's Day,
Martin Luther King Junior day,
Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
When these holidays fall on a weekday your regular collection dates slides one
day later in the week and we collect Friday routes on Saturday.
We provide residents with a collection calendar and post-holiday collection
schedules online, but when in doubt put it out.
We recommend you put your carts by the curb the night before,
or at the latest by six am on your collection day.
When you sell your home call us so we can pick up your carts and transfer
billing to the new owner.
