DOUG JENKINS: Hi, I'm Doug. I work with twenty great guys in St. Louis at Doug Jenkins Custom
Hot Rods and we're going to do some work for you today on Expert Village. Now Ralph needs
to move the car. He's marking where the car is sitting now. He needs to move it over a
few inches so he has better purchase for the jack. When we first put the car on the rack,
we got it on there nice and square but now there's not enough structure underneath the
car to set his jack and exert the kind of force he needs to, to the bottom of the frame.
So Jason at the back tire, Ralph at the front and [PH] Tobin at the wheel, rolling it back
and forth a couple of times to get it moved further to the right hand side. It doesn't
need to be centered any longer. This is the sort of thing that you could do with the car
running but hard to find enough guys that are familiar enough with how old cars operate.
They're all really tricky to start, to shift, to clutch smoothly, this is just the safest
way to do it especially when those seat in it, he's been sitting on the floor trying
to do this delicate work. And Ralph's got blocks at both ends so there's no chance of
rolling that sucker off the rack.
