Welcome to your Golden Gate National Parks. Meet the Marine Mammal Center, a park partner
located in the Marin Headlands just north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
This non-profit rehabilitation hospital for sick and injured seals and sea lions is the
largest of its kind in the world. The center responds to hundreds of stranded
marine mammals along 600 miles of California coast each year and studies and documents
marine mammal health issues to help future patients. Nearly 100,000 people visit each
year, making it a must-see destination within the park.
Educational exhibits, viewing areas and tours bring the ocean and marine mammals to life.
It's the only hospital you'll want to visit, and best of all, it's free and open daily.
Spend the day at the Marine Mammal Center and be inspired.
