About Enterprise
Being a designer isn’t as glamorous as it ought to be.
You’d think it would be.
Fashion is one thing, and the company I’ve established is another.
I think you have to be an entrepreneur. You can’t just be an artist.
Some knowledge of economics is good.
I think that to do really well you have to be able to sell yourself
and of course produce a good collection, get the colours right, know who the customer is
who you’re targeting, which countries.
The tempo in this industry is absolutely incredible. New, new, new.
It never ends.
I often feel like a boat travelling fast on the water, leaving all these surges in my wake.
What I do disturbs the calm water and stirs up employment and business.
I really enjoy being that boat. I enjoy ploughing my way along.
And ideally, someone else can take care of all the stuff that comes afterwards.
It’s quite far-reaching knowledge.
It’s not just about sitting down and designing clothes, that wouldn’t get you very far at all.
You need a dream and a true desire
and you mustn’t give up because it’s not always easy
I notice that when I truly listen to my inner self
I know exactly how it should be.
That’s what works best.
Then everyone else around me is happy because they have me as a kind of guide.
But it hasn’t always been that easy, not by any means.
We have had some wonderful shows, and not just in Sweden.
Then it’s glamorous. It’s absolutely wonderful!
